      @john - in my personal opinion the chosen location might be a little unsafe in the morning. Are there any other options? how about the BDA complex in HSR?

                    Since you both are the city reps for Bangalore, kindly note that I will be riding from Mysore to Bangalore on 18th of June and will join you all on 19th morning at the decided meeting point. So, please do let me know where I have to be if any sudden change in plans.
                    Also, note that the T-Shirt size info for me is size 40.

                      Plastic cover at least two will be required should you anticipate rains on the way.

                      1. Choose water resistant bag/in lining one
                      2. Always have the battery out of the camera for safety
                      3. Cover the camera with plastic bag nice and tight. Put the bundle in another good plastic cover, in this way even if the bag gets drenched and water seeps in, the first plastic bag would be good enough to prevent water and any moisture entering the second layer. Hope this helps!

                        First of all kudos to everyone for visualizing such a trip!! I wasnt checking xBhp for a long time due to some personal reasons. Yesterday I got a text from argee asking me if i'm coming and then I realized what I was missing out. I am still not able to say for sure if I'll be able to make it for the trip. But if there's still a slot available, put me on tentative.

                          Just use a water proof cover bag or an addition rain coat (like duckback but should not be sticky) & wrap it over the camera. Using polythene covers MAY cause moisture due to temperature difference when you ride.

                          Anyway keeping the fingers crossed on the rains. Hope you're aware that EKM-Thrissur-Palakkad-CBE-Salem route is far better than Chalakudi-Pollachi-Salem highway.

                            I'm just back from Chennai-Bangy trip; Last evening & this noon I could see the Police Patrol cops checking two-wheelers; I also witnessed them checking a guy who's wearing a helmet (but the pillion was not); I'm assuming here it was either for speeding (the guy on Apache was doing 100+) or may be for docos. What ever be the case, I'm just bringing this upfront what I saw, to avoid any hassled during our ride.

                            PS - Last evening a relative of ours was fined Rs 300 for speeding (not sure whether it was in BLR or Chennai) in Swift.
                            PPS - I don't know what to say - From Pallikonda towards Krishnagiri, the speed limit is 80, while the same stretch from Krishnagiri towards Pallikonda is marked for 50!!!
