@sriram sir, sunny sir and nrinside bro
Thanks for the opportunity people. Had a nice time. I could feel my level of immaturity today when riding along with you people
. This might a have been like a visit to the grocery shop for you people but was a big one for me. Sriram sir, nice white beauty you had there. Sunny sir and nrinside bro.....no words.... Your Ninja's were just striking.
Way back I realised I was in Irungatukottai. And the thing struck me. The race track was somewhere here!! So I proceeded again toward vellore not knowing where it was. Went 3kms ahead and nothing came up. Suddenly saw a big complex. Went nearer and discovered it was Rajiv Gandhi Memorial. Was happy I found a worthy place to visit
. Went in and spent about five minutes. Way back asked people for directions to the track. People told me it was right on the side of the four lane road. After a long time I found the entrance. Man-o-man!! The entrance was pretty small. I was astonished
. Now I knew one had to be a member to go in. Went to the security and spoke kindly to him and asked if I could just see the place. He just noted my registration number and let me in. Thanks to xbhp magazine for teaching me to speak politely to people in unknown places. Went in and discovered that Honda had put up a stall. Saw 3 CBR 250s(ABS ones). Was feeling really happy since I saw 2 ninja's morning(sunny sir's and nrinside bro's) and now 3 CBRs!! It was like " Kanna rendavdhu ladoo thinna asaya?" when I saw the CBRs
. Then way back had a small hitch. Was caught by traffic police for having the wrong font in the registration plate. Was cursing my friend at that point
. Had to pay a fine of 150 bucks!!! Then proceeded towards my college in Kattankulathur. Had breakfast near airport. Reached college by 12:30. My trip meter showed me 146.6 km at my college. Was a pretty good ride with a lot of experiences.
Things learned:
1. Follow rules perfectly always anywhere.
2. Try to have all riding gears.(I only had adidas shoes and a helmet this time
)
3. Ride at steady pace and do not fluctuate speeds.
4. Riding dehydrates body badly. One must keep oneself hydrated constantly.
5. Being polite to public will help you. Its like a mirror.
I would like to thank my friend Ajmal for lending his R15 and my friend Ram for lending his helmet. Once again thanks to xbhp members for giving me this oppurtunity. I'm leaving home(madurai) in two days. Will be back in a month with my KB100RTZ. If anyone is planning for a kodaikanal trip please inform for I can accompany you and learn stuff. Just waiting for the right company.
Cheers

Harish,
Good to hear about your G2G experience . Make it a point to attend g2g's and get to know people. As you said, Riding gears go a long way and you should consider saving up for buying a jacket/gloves/kneepads.
I'd always reccomend to bring your own ride, but if you do end up on a friends bike, make sure that the bike and it's papers are in order. Would you hesitate to do the same with your vehicle? It's as simple as that.
Hope im not being rude here..
Peace
R

Harish ..it is nice to know you learn quickly of the basic riding etiquette. Try also to attend the G2G on weekends to meet some of the best helpful and knowledgeable people...Originally posted by harishkumarko View PostMy trip meter showed me 146.6 km at my college. ^^^ Sir, why would I not want it, IF, HMSI & Dealers are ready to give? Especially when the cash is lying idle with me for over 2 months now. Its all my bad luck. I'm so frustrated now that, I might cancel & I'm seriously considering to book a ZMR (not ZMA)Skill is what keeps you on a Motorcycle
