I would like to go for a trip from Chennai to Bangalore and back. Main purpose is to attend the Metallica rock performance.. I am planning to go on Friday 28th October morning and to come back on Monday morning..
Any one interested?

I'm thinking of going to the concert too, but I would start on Saturday morning from Chennai. Nothing decided yet, will take it offline.

Anyway, its too far for me now; since I haven't visited Rameshwaram, I'd like to visit the place too & hence the interest.

BTW, going by what HMSI is responding to spares, I'm not sure if I can make the sprocks in time for the upcoming trip for this month; if I'm not wrong, the HMSI buggers will supply the spares only the weekend when the ride is happening.

You should take NH4-NH47-NH7 all way upto Bangalore city!!!

Chennai-Vellore-Vaniyambadi-Krishnagiri (right turn)-Hosur-Electronic City(take the elevated highway with Toll) & get into Koramangala.

Nice Pictures Srini Saar! I was following your updates in facebook - Mahe - Calicut road should have been irritating and unpleasant stretch of the whole trip.

Hi anna, This is avinash from chennai. My Dad used yezdi during his college days after he got married he gave his bike to his brother who is in kerela after 20 years he brought the bike back to chennai last year but the bike need complete service and carburetor change here mechanic doesn't know anything about that bike and we don't want to take the bike to pudhupet also, so could u plz guide me where to find good mechanic for yezdi so that we can repair it and I love to see here roaring once again, once when I kick start My nail broke never forget that moment

@ ananth: yeah, really irritating. We literally rode on boulders. It took more than one hour to cross Mahe( 5 kms). Only plus point was petrol was 5 Rs less than in chennai.
@ Avinash: where in chennai do you stay? I will pm you my email and phone number. Call me sometime. Bike looks neat.

@avinash: Srini would know better about it. However my 2 cents.

There is an yezdi mech near valuvarkottam junction. He handles only Yezdi's and Jawa's. But it is a very small mech shop. coming from sterling road, take left in valluvarkottam signal and immediate first shop is the one I am talking about.

However, I personally do not know how he is. But, have heard from my friends that he is good enough.
