PSR sir, those few of us who are meeting are good to go with 2nd Oct - Tiger caves parking lot (unless there are better suggestions). Once we have completed our initial meet-up, it should open the flood gates for everyone interested.

Salute to Zaphod for sticking with the ninja's for 3300kms on his Fz-16.Also another big salute for riding 3300kms across Karnataka and Maharastra with ripped woodland shoes,no socks,ripped windcheater and tarpauline sheet which didnt serve its purpose.What wud have me and ananth done with you .You are as much as fun as crazy.Cant wait to ride with you again

my suggestions below,

We can start with topics which are both basic as well as helpful
during touring since it is when we'll need to rely most on DIY knowledge.
Once we are familiar with some of the essentials, we can share and discuss about the relatively complicated.

Below are the suggestions made so far within this thread,

1) Spark plug session
2) Drive chain adjustment
3) Changing Disc Pads
4) Tuning the carb
5) Clutch, throttle & brake play adjustment
6) Clutch & throttle cable replacement
7) Fixing tyre Punctures (Tube / Tubeless)

Re-iterating the original initiative:
We can select two topics out of these or any other simple topic for the first session (Oct 2nd), prior to starting the session, we can have a discussion on the topic - followed by each of us trying out the same on our bikes and share the results with others. So that, we can cover multiple manufacturers and h/w type for the same topic.

I would prefer to have topics 1) and 4) as the agenda for first meet. Pls suggest.

Just saw this post - and was turning GREEN with jealousy and envy for having missed the party. Having ridden with said crackpot before, I know exactly what you mean! When it comes to sheer attitude and zest for life I have to say that Zaphod rocks!
