This morning's ride on the ECR was fabulous! At 0630 it was biting cold with heavy mist/fog. Cars and other vehicles kept disappearing into the mist and visibility was low and dropped further after Mahabs - could hardly believe we were riding in Chennai/TN!

Add to that, we trailed an Aston Martin Vantage convertible with the top down for quite awhile. 120kmph @ 9K rpm on super roads + no traffic + amazing climate + beautiful scenery + sexy supercar = BLISS!

The only thing missing was a beautiful woman driving!!

@Sri - sorry I couldn't talk to you at length in the morning - I called to check if I could hook up with you after my morning ride, but the rest of the riders were getting impatient, so I had to cut short!

Tried to call in the afternoon but couldn't get through - please buzz/pm me when you're free. By the way, heard that Besant Nagar was jam-packed with cops and people this morning - how did the meet go? Anyone show up?

@Sunny - Few turned up. I had asked Gabriel (John_Garbriel) to pick me up, since the body pain persist and gear shift was painful.

Some marathon between Marina-Besant Nagar, police cordoned all the routes between. Newbies Virus.Patel and Karthik(C5) turned up, had little chat before breakfast at Srikrishna Sweets.

Sunny , thats two times in a row you have been experiencing this . I wish i could join you guys in these early morning rides but i would have a tough time playing catchup game with Ninja and Comets

Have never stayed at Yelagiri except for Scout camps. I was eyeing at the YMCA since they have a huge area. Or are there any other suggestions (@Sunny?)

I am assuming about 5-6 will turn up. (The more, the merrier :P)

Sure, I remember you saying your friend owns a hotel there. If we can get a ballpark estimate on the number of riders, it will be easy to sort out accommodations.

My usual place of stay is Hotel Hills. Its right in the beginning. The way to a trekking spot is right opposite to it. The breakfast is pretty good there, so you can have a happy ride back.

Stayed at the rather curiously named Zeenat Taj Gardens on my last ride in December. Very nice, clean and great grub at about 1K for bed + 3 meals if memory serves me right.

Will check with Anant and revert (he handled the booking).

More important - the parking for the bikes were right next to the room!
