      A. Distance = 230 Kms approx one way
      Fuel expense = 460/mileage

      B. If you're planning to stay, then...
Food expense for 2 days - Rs 500 approx
Accommodation - Rs 500 approx on sharing basis

A + B = Expense for Yelagiri trip in approximation on higher side

@argee sir - then i guess one full tank fil (13l capacity) should do with a mileage of 35-40 ??? right isn't it ??

        • ^^^ Uphills would consume a little more, but yes, keep a budget for about 14-15 ltrs for fuel. Nothing harm & helps to stay away from getting stranded on NH

15L is good; C'mon you're not going to Leh!!! You can find fuel almost everywhere in the stretch of NH4/NH46. Just be confident & enjoy your trip don't carry fuel unnecessarily!!!

Well - the response isn't very encouraging !

For a pre-ride aimed at newbies, I don't see any confirmed - and of the two riders who have actually confirmed (Zaphod and I), both of us have done this stretch just 3 weeks ago.

                  • Sry @Sunny, I'm completely broke, otherwise, I would've joined. Sry, if I've caused any disappointment to you or Sri. Right now my priority is to fix the VM22 on Rx otherwise, I'll have hell a lot of issues with Munnar ride. Life's teaching me the value of Rs 1 these days

The fort was closed ( opens at 9am apparently) and didn't meet Apar & Praveen either.

We did have some high points though - came across a bright yellow Lambo Gallardo and an Aston Martin (Vantage - I think) in full throttle.

Also got passed by a bunch of SBK's - R1's, Busa's, Fireblades, Fazer 1, CBR 1000's and a Hornet. The drone and whine of in-line fours made for an audio-visual treat!

Thankfully the ride to the fort was also a scenic stretch.

Since we didn't want to wait till the Fort was opened, we took off to the boathouse and promptly made some new friends with a Ninja ZX12R and Honda Blackbird!

All in all an "eye-full" Sunday morning!

@ Sri - Is the pre-ride to Yelagiri still on for next week? If so, list of riders, stay, itinerary ?
@Sunny: Sorry buddy, I had a family outing planned @ 10. Late last night, we decided to leave earlier. That left me with no option to ride anywhere early this morning. The only best thing I did was took my bike for the outing instead of in the car. I should have left you a message, sorry.

As for Apar, I know he was stuck up with some official work until late last night.

                      • @ Aargee, Xinfii - Hey guys, no offense taken and apologies are not required!

@ Aargee - My post was an observation to Sri that pre-rides are meant specially for newbies but I guess we have no newbies??

On a lighter note, I can't help but smile as I remember 'Surguru' Zaphod's stoic resolve a few weeks ago when he gamely trundled along on his FZ16 playing catch-up! Lol!

@ Xinfii - Buddy, no sweat at all! Luckily I had the company of other riders - and a bevy of exotic babes!

@ Sri - regarding the Munnar G2G, I had suggested you as the lead for Chennai - I assume that you've accepted? If so, count on me for any help that you may need.
