Wonder why am I seeing Zeus on the seat side. Is Slingshot is an upgrade of Zeus? Sorry you'll have to educate me.

@Sri, Maybe its just an added seat cover over the stock cover.
@Hami, Looks nice, the gear indicator is a nice touch. Good colour choice and snazzy alloys. Ride safe and wear a helmet.

              • Guys can someone please help me out with the balaclava and Forcefield gear please. I am planning to purchase an M1 balaclava and the Forcefield Limb Tube Knee and Elbow armor (both).

If anyone knows such a place in Chennai or elsewhere, can you please help me out in purchasing one? And if you guys know any dealers personally who deal with these things, that'd be real helpful, so that some bargains can be put into the equation too.

                Kindly help me. Thanks!!

                Cheers!!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

                THE END

Forcefield gear is not available in India as far as I know. You can purchase it in US/UK via web and some portal even ship it across, however, do some search. Or you can simply purchase and ship it to friends/relative's residence and they can bring along.

M1 Balaclava can be sourced in Chennai and comes with a tag of 350 approx. Check with Deepak if he is coming down to Chennai.

thanks sriram. Free seat cover they provided and zeus perfectly matched the seat so they put zeus seat cover to ss+ seat.

                      Madhav ji,

I am in for this Sunday G2G !!! Karting is fun though kayaking would have been more interesting to do. We should try kayaking for sure, on upcoming GTGs. Looking forward to meet everyone, tomorrow.

Yamaha R15 V2.0 query : Anyone who is done with 2 / 3 initial bike-service and has changed engine oil to Motul 5100(Semi-synth,15w50)? It seems the present engine oil that is used for the machine, ie Yamalube 15w50, is the same or atleast almost same as Motul 5100, due to the collaborative reasons between the two oil companies. Anybody feels Motul 5100 Oil is still better than Yamalube,on their rides ?

I have used motul 5100 15W50 but in my avenger 200. This time was due to 3rd service of my R15 but because of time constrain before the trip I couldn't do it and thus went to shell and changed my engine oil to fully synthetic. I felt the difference clearly. My bike did 4600 kms when I changed it.

                            Nishant bhai,

Motul 5100 SS is an excellent drink for our Indian engines as i feel its ideal for our riding conditions. Even though fully synthetic oils are advance in nature and are smoother for the engine, i feel its too good for our R15 engine and may lead to faster engine wear and tear, if used on a regular basis.
So, Shell Oil is better than Motul eh !! Though i have been loyal to Motul for ages now, i am going to check out some of Shell's SS and FS engine oils !! And bhai...hoping to meet you tomorrow and the other seniors... Cheers !

Buddy Better stick with Motul and don't go for shell not worth it when compare to Motul. Am using Motul 5100 ss for 15k kms and changed in the interval of 5k kms never ever faced any issues so better stick with Motul ss or you can go for Full synthetic 300 v.

                              • AFAIK, there is no such thing as "too good" ! The concept itself is beguiling!

High compression engines work well with full synth while most smaller bikes will do equally well with semi-synth. Many of us older folks have used regular mineral oils for decades with no complaints.

Most lubricants sold by different companies are simply branding exercises - same source product, different name. More than the brand try to ensure getting a genuine quality product which is suitable for your engines.

In a universe of men and machines, there is an individual who achieves the purest confluence of both worlds where he and the machine must become one - He is The Biker!
