Hello Chennai Xbhpian's...!!!

Would like to have get some help and information. I've got a job in Chennai and now I need to bring my bike from Lucknow, U.P. to Chennai. So If anyone could help me out with details regarding the shifting, and the legalities regarding the number....!!! Any help or suggestions would be a great

Please make sure you get the NOC from your local RTO in lucknow and when you get here, please make sure you go to the nearest RTO in chennai and file for your re-registration.

Study about the taxes and refunds on the RTO sites for each of the RTO for chennai and lucknow.

Thanks for your valuable and immeasurable suggestion, i'll do that but would also like to tell you thaat the bike is registered on my mom's name... so will this also create a problem or just carrying a copy her and my documents would be fine enough.

NOC and forms would allow you to transfer the vehicle to your name as well.

While re registering in T.N apart from original RC book and NOC, you'll need to obtain PUC, insurance should be current. These are the base work and documents to be done.
If you are challenged with regional language and you can approach an agent to do the job.
You will need to determine that if you'll be staying in Chennai for at least 2 years or more, only then it might be worth going thru the lengthy process. There is also a method by paying road tax and use the bike here without changing the registration. Explore these options either with RTO or knowledgeable agent.

I asked chennai rto for this type of tax paying for my car... the police guys saying we can pay for 1 year. But rto saying need to re register if staying more than 1 month..

Inter-state G2G participants are requested to attend a meet scheduled coming weekend (Sat/Sun). It would be the Cafe Coffee Day at Khader Nawaz Khan Road. Timing would be 8 PM.
We expect the tees to arrive on or before weekend. More details to follow.

After 3 years & 6 months, moving from dio to discover!. Today evening would be getting my 3rd set of wheels(second bike to be precise).


Bike: Discover 150-F, Dark bottle green.
