Yes you can join.

Please ensure that you have the following:-

1. Helmet(offcourse)
2. Riding jacket
3. Gloves
4. Riding boots if not atleast Boots(sports shoes don't offer protection)
5. Follower of traffic rules.

thanks sriram, I'll try to get my friends and my brother also for the ride. Will there be any speed limit during the ride?. because mine is a 100CC and my brother's bike is TVS StarCity Plus 110CC ( 2018 model ) so I'm concerned about keeping up with bigger bikes in the highway during the ride. thanks.

16th Anniversary Xbhp ride to Jawadhu hills


Date: 07/07/2019
Time: 5:00 AM
Meeting point: Cresent College
Destination: Lake/Boat area road, Jawadhu Hills


Return time: Approximately 1-2 PM (hopefully)


Route: Chennai - Melmaruvathur - Vandavasi - Chetpet - Polur - Jawadhu hills (Jamanamarathur)

Approximate time taken will be 3 hours.


There will be no breaks until we reach Polur. Kindly book mark the route just incase if you fall behind, can follow the route to find us.


If you don't riding gears, please ride on your own.


Any newbies at the meeting point will be briefed about the riding etiquette.


Just so you know:-


We will be riding via state highway/village roads, so would caution every rider to keep an eye on motorists and casual pedestrians.
It should be scenic if weather cooperates, so we could halt for a photo session at appropriate location.
Carry water so you don't have to look out for one.

I've joined recently and would love to be a part of the future rides.
Currently ride a 2019 CBR 250R, who I have christened Nimbus, hence my user name.
If there is a WhatsApp group for the Chennai riders, could somebody please add me onto that?

Welcome to the group. All ride and meet details are posted on this thread, you may subscribe so that you get email notification if someone posts on this thread.
We usually add members to the whatsapp group only after they are regular to the rides and meets.

Meeting Point: Vandalur - after crossing Crescent College junction, further down to the Service Lane.

Ride date: 09/27/2019

Reporting time: 5:00 AM

Departure time: 5:15 AM

Breakfast stop - Near Ulundurpet Bunk

Lunch - On the way /near Salem.

Please be on time at the meeting point to avoid treating the entire group during breakfast.

Ride 15-03-2020

Planning to ride to Poondi lake and back.

Meeting point: Exit/Entry gate, Chennai trade centre, Nandambakkam (opposite to Chennai tea shop)

Meeting point time: 5 am.

Approx 180 kms return

Return by 11-12pm ( depends)


Anyone interested, please join with full riding gear. Breakfast will be enroute.
