Just an Update. There was a problem in booking the rooms (Thanks to a shitty AP Tourism website)
There is no budget room available in AP TOurism Guest House. SO we would be staying in Horseley Hills Holiday Resort instead.
Cost would be similar, but this is a private budget resort.

Ride safe guys. And do treat us all with ever green-eyed photos. Will miss some good time.
Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.
THE END

Re: The Official Chennai Offline Meet(G2G) Thread
Wonderful weekend ride to Horsley Hills, offcourse with chennai group, its always fun. It was much relaxed, most of the journey was on State Highway. The onward journey was through towns and was better than the usual wide open 4 lane highways. We did not hurry at all. We were taking breaks at regular time and offcourse photo shoots. Had breakfast on the way to Chittoor a spicy one. Soon after bypassing Chittoor, headed towards Palamaner. Nothing great but a small town, took directions towards Madanapalle and then the ride was all smiles. Hardly any traffic, roads were good enough for a roll. Reached Horsely Hills past noon but though it was sunny but it was pleasant. The hill is more or less like Yelagiri but you;ll not believe how the cold it turned out in the night. 12-14deg is enough to wrap ourselves with whatever we had. I settled into the nice comfy room and started to catch some sleep while others went out to get a glimpse of sunset. They woke me up around 7 for dinner. Food was pathetic like it was all salt gravy, even on repeat orders. Damn! Hit the bed sooner at 9-10pm while few enthusiasts did a night ride down the hill and came back, phew!
Getting up in the morning in city is a challenge and we don't even have to try at Horsley Hills, but most of us got up around 6 AM (on Sunday) and headed to explore around few view points. Then we returned to resort for breakfast, it was nice south indian spread. To our surprise, the breakfast was too good when compared to previous night dinner. After filling tummy, headed towards another nearby viewpoint as we had only few hours left to check out. Packed our bags, buckled up our chin traps and said goodbye but not before customary group photo.
On the return we took Gudiyatham instead of Chittoor, was a stunner! The roads were newly laid and hardly any traffic around. Thanks to a cab driver at the resort who gave the road condition which I was skeptical. The route was never boring and goes through Elephant Reserve. Oh! we never saw any.

Re: The Official Chennai Offline Meet(G2G) Thread
Ezil, good to see you have really maintained calm and rode all the way without any issues. Offcourse, few things here and there might have surprised you and thats the way to learn. Speed is something anyone can twist the throttle, but focus, judgement and anticipation what makes you a better rider. As you keep making road trips you'll get better.
Any newbies going with the group for the first time, kindly note down:-
1. Always be clear as what the riding plan/breaks/destination etc.
2. Keep up with the group or don't detach without informing anyone.
3. Communicate with the group and talk it out if you have anything to share
4. Duly check the fuel and fill it up at given opportunity.RX100 1996 | Karizma 2004 | Karizma-R 2011 | RXZ 1999 | RX 135 1998 | RX 100 1993 | CBF150 2005 - 2011

There are two routes to get to Pondy from Chennai. One is the ECR and the other is by NH 45. I haven't taken the NH 45, but its a 4 lane highway compared to the 2 lane ECR. ECR is a scenic route though. Also if you are going to take NH 45, better do it before night because this route has a huge volume of traffic, especially trucks, it will be a real pain to get out of Chennai through NH 45 at night.
