Help needed to find Good Yamaha Mechanic near Ambathur,Chennai

I have been regularly servicing my fzs with SaiRAm motors padi. Their service is pathetic and they only concentrate on free service and replacing parts never attend small smal things like afr , carb cleaning etc. I have done almost 9 services with them and my expeirence is getting worse. On top of this they take 2 days time for paid service bike. They did this for all of my paid service. I am fed up with them, I am quite new ambathur area so please let me know if someone knows any good mechanic in and around ambathur. I have few parts to be replaced and AFR tuning to be done so it would be great help if someone could point me the right person to take the bike to.

I've heard my friend complain about Sri motors in Velachery also. Yamaha service centres in chennai are becoming worse. I've had similar experiences with Paras Yamaha in Teynampet.. But if you can afford the time and energy, try Bikerz in Nanganallur. I serviced by Fazer here for 3 years.. Not at all crowded (even on saturdays).. all the mechanics are knowledgeable and are always ready to help.. good service overall.. And the best yamaha service centre in chennai is in Ekkaduthangal (I've heard so.. haven't experienced)..

Hi guys,

Posting here after long time. As most of you know I run a photography company call LetsClick Photography (www.letsclick.in) so this time thought to invite all my biker friends here for our upcoming free event.

Well...i organise photography workshop twice in a month in Chennai. Often we organise photo-walk here too. The upcoming photo-walk is on this Sunday (20th Oct).
Its a free event for all of you and filled with lot of fun activities.

I am very sure many of you love photography beside riding your bike. You are most welcome to join me on this sunday and learn basic of photography. Shoot together with many like minded people. People who love to click and who love to get clicked all are welcome to join me with whatever camera you have. So here are the details

Date : 20th Oct 2013
Meeting time : 4:00 pm sharp
Meeting place : Shore temple, Mahabalipuram

We meet at 4 pm and share the basic tricks for clicking better photographs. We shoot together in and around. Post shoot we all go for dinner at Moonrakers. Nothing could be more exciting than this to spend the weekend.

Looking for a Good mechanic in Chennai, Thambaram area for my Avenger 180

Hi all,

I'm looking for a good mechanic, (not Bajaj Authorised, as they lack passion) I would expect mechanic to at least breif me what s wrong with the bike. The problem I got as follows:
1.Can't shif the gear properly.
2.Oil leaking from the gear outlet
3.Chain issue
4.fork bend.

Chennai Group Meet?

While few members have moved out of Chennai, there might be new members who would like to be part of this group who once used to rides together regularly. Its been long time since we all have 'Officially' met. Why not we do that next month? Ride/Meet anything is fine with me. With Diwali around the corner, it would not be a nice idea to have on 3rd November. I'm more aiming toward the following weekend 10th November and expect good turn out. Newbies are welcome to be part of it. Watch out this thread. If it is going to be a ride, then expect full riding gear.

Old Chennai Dakalties - Just take a time out to post a comment than whatapp!


@cmkarthik - You can actually try Sri Motors, Ekkaduthangal if that happens to close to your vincity for your servicing needs. Lot of good reviews from our xbhpians too. As a xbhpian, you may gain your knowledge by going through ownership thread, owners manual, parts catalog, threads on issues etc. So next time when you discuss with a technician, you won't look dumb.
@mads07 - Newbies/Help seekers on Mechanics:- I would advise you to focus on the ownership thread than this offline. Though its no harm in posting here, however, little we discuss on the mechanic/workshop than tours and places to visit.

I understand your situation. Worry not my friend.

***Quick checks***

1. Adjust gear shift lever extender and/or change engine oil.
2. Change sprocket oil seal.
3. Check chain slack or replace... most probably replacement is the solution as it is open chain system.
4. A bent handle-bar could also give you such an impression. Only upon driving it could be confirmed. If the fork is really bent at all, you would restore it by hydraulic fork bend removal and along with it change the fork oil and oil seals.
