Pondy ride was awesome, every experienced a very unique weather should I say. It was a mild drizzle, cool and cloudy. We all felt like as if riding to some hill station..ha
At Cresent Engineering College, Vandalur we all met up, even a guy in N250R was waiting for the rest of the team there to ride till Vedanthangal. I forgot his name though.

There was good co-ordination on the group formation. It did not took long for the newbie to catch up on that and we all were on the roll. Tindivanam we took the break for tea after a wonderful tarmac experience. We thought is all done but there was another good stretch waiting towards pondy from there was NH66, even buttersmooth and well marked 4 lane traffic free highway. Cruised comfortably and reached Pondy. Navigated inside without much confusion to reach Hotel Suguru.

There was one newbie Sriram, Aravinth's friend joined the ride. Everything looked good. Discussed the upcoming road trip and few more.
I was rusty without riding for nearly 7 months but was able to adjust along the way.

After short eats and lengthy discussion we showed up at petrol bunk to save few paise. Reached home safely.

In between Pondy - Chennai.
We witnessed an accident on the ECR on the return, 20 kms off Pondy. Two bikes Pulsar and FZ with pillion and riders helmet were just kerchiefs thought they could do better, as usual kept ripping along. At one point a scattered cattle came across and to avoid Pulsar braked, lost traction and finally kissed the ground. The rider of the Pulsar was badly bruised and bleeding from head though was conscious. He could not stand on his feet and he was put on another guys shoulder like a baby. Luckily there was a hospital nearby and an autorickshaw helped them. Now who could we blame for such accidents? Its his folks at home must be going through greater pain than that guy. Is that what he wants? Getting intimidated on the road and reacting to it is leading nowhere but putting ourselves in tight situations.

Its not common to see accidents but riding gears could have saved some major impact. After all, none would take a lesson, we will find some jerk or the other hugging the tarmac. This will continue...

Few days before that is on 2nd and 3rd had a trip to kolli hills and also was having office on Sunday (shift time is mrng 3am to afternoon 1pm)these was the main reason for not joining pondy trip

Welcome, Please register to the ride and pay the amount by 10th July max. There will be another Pre-Ride coming soon in coming weekends. You are supposed to attend that without fail as its necessary for any new member to join the Pre-rides in order to participate for the BIG ride ahead.

PS : Hope you have riding Gears, and in case not, I would suggest you to get that too.
