There is a meet this weekend to cheer Deepa malik - Will On Wheels project, interested people can join.

Deepa Malik is a paraplegic, paralyzed from waist down, but that has not stopped her from taking up challenges. She is a Biker, Swimmer & Athlete..
Will On Wheels - WOW is an project by 7 Engineering students of Sathyabama University from Mechanical, Automobile & Electronics dept..
They have made up-gradations / converted an Renault Duster into an vehicle which is friendly for differently-abled people and to create awareness on “Ability Beyond Disability” for differently-abled people and also encouraging Para-Sports..
We welcome all bikers of chennai to come and Cheer Deepa Malik & the Students involved in Project WOW..
The Ride starts in Chennai and ends at Delhi on 30th Sept'13..
Any biker who wants to cheer & wish the team can come to Sathyabama University on Sunday the 22nd Sept'13 by 8am..
Bikes to be parked in an orderly fashion inside the main entrance of the university as directed by the volunteers..
Attend the welcome session, heartily wish Deepa & the students, click pics with the team & cheer and wave the Flag off ceremony..
Bikers who wish to attend just the event at Sathyabama can come in any motorcycle. Make sure you WEAR a HELMET..
Post Flag off ceremony, there will be a Ride for Cause, escorting Deepa Malik & the Team to the out skirts of Chennai, those who wish to participate must be in FULL SAFETY RIDING GEAR and call Paul Pradeep Chris @ 9841166554 or Hari @ 9840203630 to confirm..

Yet I rode my Yamaha FZ all the way from near Indore (M.P.) to Hyderabad, and then after a month, from Hyderabad to Chennai! It was great.

Now, I live in Chennai. I need guidance on getting NOC, and other things if any more.

Also, please introduce me to the biking scene here!

I feel still new to riding!

AFAIK, you need the NOC from your vehicle's state where it was registered from. I'm not sure how TN RTO can help. Maybe members can help me understand this process better.

You have get the NOC from the RTO where your motorcycle is registered. There you have to specify to which RTO you want to get it transferred to like TN01 or TNxx. These days they issue NOC which is valid only for 15 days (in my case from Mumbai) and its a tedious process to get it changed. Its been 4 months for me and still not changed my registration to TN. Make up your mind for the delay. Probably mine is a one-off case, but just letting you know my experience.

I'm not sure how long I'm going to stay here. I heard I can get away just by paying road tax, any idea what that is?

Also, where can I find the list of required documents, and cost of processing NOC?
