Hey guys, pretty new to xbhp. I own a Pulsar AS200 BS3. Does anybody know any good mechanics in Chennai. I currently have a weak bore issue and I'm looking for opinions from private mechanics. Not too confident with the showroom mechanics and also I doubt they're trying to loot me.

Hi Guys, we met today morning to have a DIY session on brakes maintenance.

Sriram, Manoj, Vishnu, Kannan, Sri Kumar and My self turned up.

We did full rebuild of front brake assembly in sriram's 15 years old ZMA with lot of challenges. Then flushed the brake fluids in my Duke 390 front & rear. We also rebuild the Sri kumar Fazer front brake assembly with difficulties of finding parts in the weekend. Finally flused brake fluids in Vishnu Domi.

Everyone of us have learnt something today. Manoj & Sriram guided us to understand the better. I'm sure next time we do this brake maintenance ourself instead of relying on the mechanic or the service center.

We will conduct DIY session in the future in various topics comment your suggestions. I hope more of us will join in the same.

DIY meet is a good initiative folks, would like to participate the next time when you guys have such a session.

Would be more interested in learning the few basic things which would help us in taking care of the bike while touring, that will give a peace of mind and confidence when travelling to places without service stations.

For the meet, you can come in casual wear with helmet, however, wearing safety gear is upto them.

xbhp Anniversary Ride -

There is an Xbhp Anniversary ride coming up on 7th July 2019. We are still discussing the destination where we will be riding.


Annual ISG2G Meet -


1. Destination - Kodaikkanal/ Kuttralam (not decided since this would be discussed with other states as well). There will be a separate thread opened for discussion in detail.
2. Bringing some itinerary like DIY talks, sharing experiences from their past trips, things to do and don't etc to the meeting.
3. Suggestions and ideas to improve from previous meets.
4. Volunteers will be engaged for overall coordination during the meet.


The next discussion will be on July 7th when we all meet for the xbhp Anniversary ride. Keep watching this thread for more updates to follow.
