You can probably stay in Masinagudi. Had been to this place and liked it: Mountain Jungle resorts,mountain resorts, hill resorts bangalore.. From there you can then head towards Ooty, which is around 35 kms.

Its a bit rainy in the afternoons and early morning, but not on all days. You should in all probability get some rain and mist towards the afternoons...

Have been looking through this thread and nice to find an active group of riders in Bangalore

Felt that it would be a good idea to get some inputs from all of you....
Some of us are planning to ride from Hyderabad to Bangalore...
From 31st Aug to 4th Sept.

I'm doing the reverse of what you people are doing... I'll be riding to Hyderabad on 31st.. The difference being i'll be doing a solo ride..

How are the roads till Hyderabad? Any updates on that?

As far as I know Roads are quite good, barring some stretch here and there..( especially after Ananthpur, but not pretty sure about it )

Sridhar Shetty will be the best man to tell you about it, since he did SaddleSore on this stretch..

We are confused....
Day2: Bangalore to Coorg via Mysore and night stay at Bandipur
or make it directly to Ooty on Day2 so that we can get total 2 days of free time at Ooty
This way we can have Bandipur night stay while returning!

Khivraj Service (100ft. Road) near Domlur is reliable. They are quite good at it.

We have Super Mod, Super Tourer MG in town for a few days. He's free on the 1st evening for a dinner meet up. Preferred location will be in and around Lavelle Road area, thinking of Shezan which is on Lavelle road itself.

Options option for other places as well!

Time: Post 8PM
Where: Lavelle Road,MG Road and close by

How many days in hand do you have?

Coorg would be deviation that from your route to Ooty and if you are planning to take the internal route straight from Coorg to Gudalur you might not have roads at a lot of places. Have you booked in Ooty/Bandipur? Its a long weekend and most places are going to be full!
