Sorry for the late reply Adi . The showroom which I have mentioned is already functioning from last wednesday.Yes they have plans to open more of them in Koramangala, J.P.Nagar and one more location.

Hello Everyone

Have been looking through this thread and nice to find an active group of riders in Bangalore

Felt that it would be a good idea to get some inputs from all of you....
Some of us are planning to ride from Hyderabad to Bangalore...
From 31st Aug to 4th Sept.
Removing two days for traveling from Hyd - Bangalore and Back... We would be having 3 days and 3 nights for exploring the places around

For now the idea is to cover Ooty via Bandipur...

The rides that might be joining might be 3 Ninja's, a CBR and an R15
Still waiting for final confirmations though (which includes my participation too )

Request your suggestions on how well could we plan this trip and also some suggestions for places to stay etc

I would suggest you to stay at Palve Sugavasam

Speak to Mr. Chandru @ 98416-47145 and refer my name. Tell him we were a group of ninja riders who had stayed there a few times and he'll know.

Beautiful place, clean rooms and toilets and good food too. Service might be a bit slow. Ask for a discount

Dont forget to buy chocolates. There is never enough chocolates in Ooty that can satisfy a choc-lover.

Auto show , this year was hopeless.Except for the BMW stall which had r1200 gs and s1000rr.Also there was the ugly looking VFR 1200f( atleast i feel so) .Apart from that nothing interested me.U will be paying 100 bucks for vehicles that you see free on the road.Only one store which dealt with accessories ( the usual Thirumala guy)."NOTHING" apart from that will interest a biker. Few vintage BSA biker are there, non functional.Definitely not worth. This year it was not even 20% of what it used to be earlier( i am not saying the previous ones were the best in the world).

You can probably stay in Masinagudi. Had been to this place and liked it: Mountain Jungle resorts,mountain resorts, hill resorts bangalore.. From there you can then head towards Ooty, which is around 35 kms.
