2. RTO officials can impound your bike if they have enough reasons to believe that you have been in Bangalore from a period greater than 11 months.
3. You DO NOT need an NOC to ply your bike on KA roads. All you need (officially) is to pay the Life Time Road Tax in KA, details of the calculations of this amount are available on the KA RTO website.
4. NOC is ONLY needed if you want to re-register your bike in KA. But if you pay Life Time Road Tax then there is NO NEED to re-register the bike in KA.
5. You can escape these thieving a-holes, if you can provide enough proof that you have been here for a short time i.e. less than 11 months. Cops will come up with different versions of the timeline you have to pay up the road tax, but 11 months is the official statement as per KA MV Act.
PS: I've been riding a TN registered bike in KA for the last 5 years, yet to pay LTT! It is breaking the law, but if the system is f**ked up then I'm not going to pay!

No need to enter Pune, if one takes the Katraj bypass in Pune then its a straight road to Old Mumbai-Pune highway!

Had to "pay" 400 rupees to get it out, they said I should submit NOC for the bike to be released and fine is Rs.3500 if I dont have it.
But this was in 2007, prices may have gone up
So now I'm fine with the payment I made but they could have atleast not dropped my poor bike.
