  • Let the seniors decide.. but I strongly disagree with the idea of taking guys along who haven't made even a single post. Members must join the forum, go through the threads, make some posts, and must really understand what xBhp is all about. What matters is the spirit. The spirit of safe riding..and biking brotherhood. Otherwise, they are just riders - not xBhpians.

Some bikers from my locality also requested to join the ride but i avoid them with some silly excuses because i very well know that they are reckless riders who will never follow our riding etiquette and i dont want to spoil the entire spirit. After all we want this ride end to an incident free one

      Ride safe
i didnt mean telling every other random guy you see about the ride! just the people whom you personally know is a responsible rider. thats why i said "the one who deserves". the friends you know personally that includes his riding style and road manners. otherwise its a NO. just introduce the good, responsible riders to the community and not the other way around!

anyways, the people who recommends them should know whether they are show offs or not. so dont tell the people who are show offs and let the responsible riders join. i meant, dont just judge people who are not registered in xbhp that they are show offs when they shows an interest in joining a group ride. we might actually learn a thing or two from them. who knows. xbhp is there to promote safe riding, so promote it instead of keeping it within a confined group. there are rules and regulation, tell them to follow it or dont bother joining. i also know that there where a few incidents(crashes etc) involving our group members. we together took responsibility for that, just like that, when riding with a group we must take responsibility for what happens regardless of his/her seniority level. this ride is an experience, let the people who deserve get a little taste of it.

        and its just my opinion.

        Well said

If any Non-xBhpian or New Members are joining for the ride they should attend the Pre-Ride G2G and participate in the short ride then.and then its up to the seniors of their respective district(in this case-BikerHarris) to decide if they are the kind of riders we encourage.
And these riders will be the responsibility of the one who introduces them

            +1 to this!!!!!
I'm a responsible rider. It doesn't matter what you ride, but what matters is how you ride.

if the new riders are not let in, whom are they gonna learn safe riding from? new riders always have a hard time joining our group.
Ideally, yes its not great to have riders who have never made single post or who disappear after a ride. But like Navin said-who else will encourage them?
there are many cases where fresh riders without posting have ridden with us and then gone on to be regulars here.

So as long as they arent going to be a burden for us,let them ride along and join us for the future if they feel like they belong here. They might even be encouraged to ride or ride safe when they participate for such events.

Exactly!, our intention should be to Promote safe riding. Promotion wont happen without telling people about our community and telling them about our rides*(again not every other guy, just the people whom you know are responsible riders). just look at our group, riders are from all over kerala and just 50 or so riders! Its time to let the people know about our community.

also, the reason for not joining a community or posting something may be because of several other reasons. like unavailability of internet, being busy etc. but is that our intention here? is it to 1)increase the members who sit at home and post and not ride or 2)introduce real riders who get out there and ride and not join/post? i'd gladly go with the second one.

                      • My personal opinion..

either me or one among who have been in this thread was new at one point of time when joining xbhp with a single motive.

But this is a huge crowd showing up... 50+ bikes on the street which is a very risky buisness even though we ride safe.

We also need to see the age of the riders who wish to join.. and whom so ever who is inviting them should take the sole responsibility with the lead of the team in which he follows.

Also as Ranjith said.. Each respective teams.. should have a G2G.. call all those who comes for the ride.. educate each .. i should the seniors from the respective teams should come forward for this.

After each teams is joined .. i think Praveen & Jayamohan Chettan will have a short briefing about safety riding and will proceed.

I strongly disagree to take the guys without attending the G2G either a senior junior active member or newbie.Coz its worth it.

I think the leads should take the decission on this.

                        Regards,
                        Sree

I dont think we had stressted this point anywhere for this ride...so @ALL
Please do hold a Pre-Ride G2G along with a short ride and make sure everyone is aware of the Riding Etiquette we follow. And the attendance should be mandatory.

Yes. what you said is very true..We need to promote the safe riding and expand the safe riding group all over kerala. The intention behind this one day ride is only because of same reason But atpresent riding 50+ bikes will be a challenging task without a mistake through hilly roads after Chaganazery..and especially with newbies! for eg: tailing can be often happen through the Hilly curves and a single mistake can get the chance of huge disaster. We had the same situation with a white zmr Newbie(Mr.Darin from changanserry, who is not active in xBhp before & after that ride) during our journey to Yercaud(Inter_state G2G). These all are happening by inexperience street moto gp blood groups. So my opinion is educate them before our ride and decide by the group leader and also take the responsibility by each group itself. Trust us, we never disappoint any person who deserve a right biking culture regardless of, the less post in the thread(bcoz of various reasons) Only thing he is capable of understanding the responsiblity of a real biker unless no use of them in future
