@rachitkohli

i love the bike too, but i guess i have been just unfortunate the bike turns so smooth, never skids.

first bike and hence i've been getting hyper and upset since day 1. learnt riding on this bike too, must have made mistakes like wrong riding technique. like Sarvajit rightly said, i have gone on potholes at high speed. i just cant brake every 10 secs, mumbai roads are a disaster. navi mumbai is heaven in comparison.

@Sarvajit

the bike does seem to go straight without holding handle (tried for few secs only) but the mechanics clearly showed me the tilted handle. so i have become conscious mechanics couldnt see a bend in the wheel.

im just waiting for sat. need to get the bike to ride smooth asap. its jumping way too much..

thanks guys for all the info. will update on sat.

A couple of points to add to my post yesterday.

- I solved the mystery of the seat cover. This morning I caught a cat napping on the seat. So, it is quite likely that its claws were destroying the seat.

Yesterday while riding, I had a revelation. I've had this feeling for a while that the Wego lacks power and doesn't respond well on roll-ons. Yesterday, I discovered why, when it wasn't going like I expected it to, I glanced at the speedo and saw that it was doing close to 70 kmph. But its handling is so sure-footed that I thought it was doing closer to 50 and was looking for it to respond as it would at that speed. That for me sums up the difference between the Wego and the Activa.

It has been almost 5 months since I got my Wego and have travelled almost 2000 km on it. So far, I've been very happy with the scooter. It is smooth, troublefree and as I mentioned earlier, the ride and handling is so confidence inspiring that it begs for a more powerful engine.

I'm getting close to 45 kmpl mostly in moderate city traffic with the occasional jams.

Some irritants
- Someone scratched the left panel and also removed the Wego sticker on that side
- The same person (presumably) also flicked the plastic piece that surrounds the petrol cap.
- The fuel indicator is not reliable. It moves from Full to Empty a little too rapidly, but when I go to refill again, I can barely fill in 4l. Since the capacity is 5L, I assume that there is still 1L of fuel available at the Empty mark. TVS needs to calibrate this better.
- And of course, the bloody cat in my apartment has left scuff marks all over the seat

Happy to see many Wego owners sharing their experiences. I was also in dilemma to pick up which scooter before picking up this "White Beauty".

Started searching for scooter during the May-Jun timeframe. Visited Honda dealer(still Honda is the darling of the masses) for booking Aviator. Got a test ride and was not impressed with it's rear suspension. Didn't think about Activa as I was aware of the waiting period.

Next to Suzuki dealers. Asked for a test ride and the dealer immediately turned down and also said "We are not taking any booking for Access currently".

With not much options left , went to TVS showroom. I know a friend of mine who was having Wego for nearly more than six months and he happy with the vehicle. Took a test ride and was thoroughly impressed the pickup and suspension. Liked some useful features like external fuel lid, Eazee Centre Stand, Under Seat Storage(having used Kinetic Honda is past, this feature was something new to me), 12 inch Alloy wheels, Telescopic Suspension. Without much hesitation booked White Colour Wego on a Saturday and got vehicle delivered on Monday which was my Birthday too. Pre-planned execution.

Not all vehicles look good in white color, but this scooter is a real treat to watch in white color. Honda twister in white looks really pathetic. Slowly started using Wego is place of my Pulsar 150cc(Need to own this vehicle to experience the power, an excellent value for money bike). Initially it was painful driving within the speed of 50KMPH till the first 1000KM's. Now that I have crossed nearly 2100 KM in speedo and thought of providing my review of this white beauty.

Pros :
Good pickup and also pulling power with adults is great.
Great mileage. Consistent between 43-47 KMPL.
External fuel lid, Ezee center stand, under seat storage, Rear suspension.
Very light kicker. Pretty easy to start. No Cold start problems.

Cons:
Lack of top speed. Easily goes to 65, struggles to reach 70 and above.
Front suspension not that great.
Useless front glove box.

Strictly for city use. I used to travel nearly 25KM's (to and fro) per day and I have started getting back pain and stiff neck. It's the same with all scooters. Scooters are meant for city use.

Overall to conclude , Wego is a great alternate to Honda Activa, You really can't go wrong with this scooter if maintained properly.

Happy riding and Thanks for reading.

Worried about one cat ? I've sacrificed this seat cover to these guys , to keep them out of the newer bikes .. yet they got to the new splendor+ seat to sleep inside the garage this winter. Darn guys have claws like razorblade !

Default Fuel capacity for TVS Wego

Please could someone tell me the fuel capacity for TVS WEGO. My understanding is as below. The manual is quite ambiguous about the fuel capacity.

1. The fuel capacity of the WEGO is 5.5 liters(including reserve).

2. Reserve alone occupier 1.5 liters.

Are the above correct?

BTW, another off-topic question - what's the average mileage that people are getting on their WEGO's?

Cheers

Hi,

I own Wego since last 1 year, done 8400 Kms, even took for a long ride (Mumbai lavasa Mumbai) rode non-stop 48kms on 80kmph speed (does not go beyond 80). Average fuel efficiency i get is around 50 to 54kmpl.
This is a real good scooty, i will definitely recommend it. Thou only 1 problem it does needs choke during cold days first start if u wanna self start.

hi,
Even i am not sure abt the 5.5 tank. Never i could refill tank for more then 4 liters. there is no way to know when the bike is in reserve.
My normal mileage in city is around 48 to 51 kmpl. 70% single seat and within 45 kms speed (economy range). Total odo is now 8400 kms.
