    Activa's days are not numbered.
It has been and will be the best selling scooter for some time to come.

HH Splendor, Bajaj Pulsar 150, Honda Activa are virtually unbeatable in sales and they will continue to do so. Period.
Sorry is anybody takes offence, but I dislike all 3 of them.

I just love those alloys. She looks neat, I am not a fan of the refueling cap section.

            Nice shots, Thunderbird!!

The scooter looks fresh and somewhat different from other scooters.

There is a new brown Wego parked in my apartment parking these days.

The size is spot on for unisex use. Not too bulky and not too small. The finishing looks as good as the Honda Activa.

              Looks refreshing too.

Nice shots there Thinderbird. You have selected a "matching" background.

The Wego looks stunning in white. Hope it ends monopoly of Honda Activa and I strongly wish for it.

                      bought a wego last week!!!

I just bought a wego last week. Initially there was a problem with the air filter due which i used to experience frequent jerks.... not jerks exactly, it was more like engine was trying to pull but something was holding it kinda problem, particularly when i accelerated between 30-40 speed. I complained and they fixed it the next day. Apart from that it's a very good scooter available out there.

Right now it's giving only a mileage of about 25-30 km-pl.
Did some research on that and they say that new vehicles start giving good mileage only after first service. So, can't tell anything much on that matter.Though any advice on the matter is well appreciated!!

                      Pros:
                      1. Best in-class pickup.
                      2. Smooth ride quality.
                      3. Stylish than activa or any other scooter in class.

                      Cons:
                      1. No major cons.

                          TVS Wego

Took delivery of my brown TVS Wego yesterday.

I had finalized this one after test-riding a Rodeo, Pleasure, Activa, Access, and Wego.

                          For:
                          Refinement (beats everything else)

                          Free-revving, perky engine

Handling (no anti-dive nonsense in the front suspension, conventional forks, big mag wheels, and superb chuckability make it feel more like a motorcycle)

Brakes (Stellar performance despite being drums at both ends)

Fuel Efficiency: (Getting 38+ on my first tankful; some Activa owners I know got more like 28)

                          Single-key operation

External fuel-lid: Does not require the rider to alight and raise the seat to tank up

                          Against:
Extremely lean jetting: This causes cold-start problems (needs choke) and when the engine is warm, the idle speed goes up, causing the variomatic transmission to engage partly and the bike to creep forward without rider intervention. Will need to fix this soon by tweaking the air-screw or putting in a bigger pilot-jet, maybe at the cost of that ridiculously high fuel-efficiency.

Non-exciting graphics: I think the Honda Dio is the king of contemporary bling.

Awkwardly angled seat: For tall people, the seat slopes forward and outward too much, leading to inadequate under-thigh support. Having said that, the supple ride more than compensates in making this little dipshit a comfortable commuter.

Squeaky horn: Even cats don't move out of the way when I honk; potentially dangerous on a bike that is also otherwise almost completely silent

Who needs more than 70 bhp when you don't need to slow down for the corners?

                              Some more observations

The underseat storage area can't really take a full-face helmet (or atleast not one that is XXL-sized, for people with big heads ).

I wish the choke had some way to lock it in the ON position. It's a pain to keep it pulled for like 5 minutes on a cold morning when you start up the bike.

I wish there was more space on the floorboard, directly under the seat to keep the feet. Right now the feet are either splayed out too much in front of me or I have to really sit at the edge of the seat to be able to tuck my feet under me.

The "economy" and "power" modes are quite nicely decipherable on the throttle grip (the spring action is light upto a certain point, and then stiffer after that).
