That's very true!

Nevertheless, although this "touring spirit" thing is no more than a commercial BS, the fairing does offer a very good protection that would not have expected from such a small one, hence increasing the long ride comfort.

Besides that, and although I also like the more "brutal" aspect of the naked FZ-16 and FZ-S, the Fazer got an elegance of its own. This is further enhanced by the "Midnight Special" decoration (mine is not a genuine one but a copy from pictures of the original stickers, and then specially made for me!)

Finally, as "Sky" mentions: besides the protection, it is obvious that the aerodynamics of the Fazer will be better than it's naked siblings, and, although not yet been able to compete, am sure that the top speed would be sensibly higher.

"... +Lot of money" said "Eliksir"??? Hey man: you have to pay for a pretty girl!

However, this thread should be moved in the FZ-16 ownership experience one (just to mock the "naked" owners ).

Default Yamaha Fazer 153cc

Hi,

My name is Francis and I ride a YAMAHA FAZER 153cc. The bike provides me with an awesome confort no matter what road I ride on. Moreover, it also provides me better control.

The only issue is while riding pillion, the pillion rider complains about issues with the seat.

Can anybody help me fix this issue with my bike, apart from a solution to ride single.

Thanks

Default Yamaha Fazer 153cc

Hi Abhishek,

I have got the seat modified. I had to broaden it from both the sides which now provides extra comfort to the pillion rider.

Thanks for your reply.

Franko.

Regarding the Fazer as a touring bike is infact in appropriate. The reason being that the bike struggles to attain any speeds beyond 80Kmph and gives a backpain to tall riders when rising for long. Another thing to consider is that, though the bike has a longer base than the FZ, it is still unstable while hard braking and tight cornering, it may be due to the MRF Revz, but we've experienced numerous falls on the bike, and one of the time while doing a panic brake, at the same time with my ZMA, our Fazers wheels locked and were smoking, where as the ZMA's wheels still had good traction, the point to be noted here is that the ZMA is also running on stock MRF's. The Fazers stock tyres are also prone to getting punctures a lot.

Now coming to the benefits, its one mean street bike, the acceleration note after 6k gives any rider a scare when being overtaken by the FAZER, its torquier and revs quicker than my bike and works well under tightly packed traffic conditions. Returns a mileage of 43Kmpl when ridden sedately.

Anyways ride safe, and its about time an independent topic was started for Fazer.

fazer can touch speeds more than 80kph pretty easily. on NICE road i rode my bike at costant 90-110(speedo) for like 200kms with a pillion.
fazer's riding position is comfy, but may not as good as zma/zmr.
fazer got longer base than fz?
fazer can corner better than zma/zmr any day
fazer/fz used in my knowledge soft/semi compound tyres and provides very good grip.
tyre locked up because the brakes are efficient dude, its all about the rider.
fazer is a touring bike. why not? it can do 70-90 all day. in india its more than enough. in that case any 150 bike is capable of touring. its not just the speed that makes a bike tourer friendly.
