Default Yamaha Fazer

Hey guys... i tried to find ownership review on FAZER. but for my surprise I could not find one? May be because of ignorance... so as per me ( ) this thread makes first ownership thread on FAZER!

I am proud owner of Black Fazer for last 4 months. This black beauty goes as smooth as possible and dazzles everybody on the road. This is my second YAMAHA bike.. first one was RX100.. a Road winner! as fast as one can imagine! great acceleration, awsm control!

Now lets talk about Fazer...
Looks: 10/10
Control: 10/10
both wheel shocks:10/10
Riding comfort: 9/10
smoothness: 10/10
Power & acceleration: 5/10 (this is something bad about this bike) First time in my life I hate YAMAHA for this

I have taken this bike from Bangalore to Nandi hills (total 140 km) and this machine surprises you with its abilities!
YAMAHA claims this bike as a 'touring spirit' and to some extends it proves to be one of the leading touring bike with its beautifully crafted dual tone aerodynamic front quarter fairing. It has a Silent engine, good riding posture and last but not least 'great control'- when i was riding uphill on ghat turns, I felt Fazer as- a part of my body and I moved it at my wish. The kind of confidence FAZER inspires in you is note worthy.
It has sporty short muffler, well curved tank, widest rear tyre, wolf eyed headlight. but....They haven't given a switch to 'switch on' both front head lights at a same time. YAMAHA idiots!!!!! I mean, YAMAHA?, what was that? I spent INR 300 extra at service center and got it done!

I tried the brakes at high speed on BIAL highway. I was riding at 95 km/hr and used both rear and front brakes. And this beauty without complaint stopped with full control. Widest MRF tyre and center of gravity of bike comes for your rescue. Be assured you will never loose control on life when you are riding this Gem.
It’s a relaxed touring bike, you may go as low as 35km/hr on 5th gear with no hassle and this makes it quite likeable for daily use even in city. YAMAHA claims this bike to be wind tunnel tested. Be assured that it works. On hight I when I passed a highly speeding truck from opposite direction I felt minimal air resistance as against I would have felt riding RX100.

YAMAHA claims top speed as 132 km/hr, a total B...S....t! It hardly reached 100 km/hr. but I have seen blogs claiming to reach even 124km/hr. I love to own that piece if machine.
Fazer has only Electric start. Gives only 30 km/litr, not even 35?
The bike has sporty, single lever gear pad, which molests my formal shoes daily! I guess its due to be changed this month :P
The pillion seat is v small. Sad for my GF!
The saddest part of this bike is its poorest Power and acceleration performance ever by 150 CC bike. FAZER has 14 Nm power.. but... to my surprise, on Bangalore roads, even Splender, 135 CC Pulsor, Activa, 125 CC shine, 125 CC stunner etc etc wins the drag race from any Red light signal. WHF?

So finally If I want to race on Bangalore streets, I will take my old friend RX100... Fazer is of less adrenaline, more sporty looked, masculine bike for smooth and hassle free drive.....
Enjoy....

Default join yamaha fazer community

this is my first bike and given by my dad when i topped in my university.
its been around 8 months and you wont believe it my fazer is giving 45 kmpl and sometimes it amazes me with 50 even in the earlier months.

as a family with so many cars i was not very interested in bikes earlier. but after this machine was given to me i became struck with its appeal and performance.
where other bikes got stroked in this years torrential delhi rains. mine one just swimmed across all the hurdles.
and for long rides it is the best bike right now in the indian market. even u mentioned that in ure post. and regarding the fairings, if someone who ever tried to go for a longer ride with it can easily understand its necessity on a bike. fzs are totally different from fazer in many aspects. and aerodynamism is one of that.

Default Struggles with load !!

My FAZER definitely struggles with load ,power is really a problem I guess, for example if a 70Kg and 80Kg person sit on this bike ,this struggles a lot !

Have you guys experienced the same?

Hey do anybody knows how to change the Headlight setting of this bike?
Do we have to remove the fairing and then turn the screw or without removing the fairing we can adjust the beam. please upload with pictures if possible. Thank you in advance.
