spark plug of wrong rating will never result in black smoke, it'll result in drop in power, missing, drop in avg etc.

the point in bold needs a serious checking though.
hi renny , thanks for pointing out the mistake about the silencer , Though improper plug can result in a black smoke . let me try and explain I dont remember properly , but a plug with a cooler rating can result in incomplete combustion which would lead to carbon formation know as black soot or can be carbon monoxide ( CO ) rather than carbon dioxide . The reason which would lead to drop in performance , avg etc is again because of incomplete combustion . Complete charge is not burnt or burnt in a wrong way which leads to some petrol ( air + fuel = charge ) wasted hence a drop in performance and considerably more charge needed to reach the same rpm . Hence the main reason for most problems while using wrong spark plug may be either incomplete combustion which may occur . I dont remember which plug does this exactly , cold or hot . But my sense says its the cooler one . PS : sorry guys if typed anything wrong , just trying to learn and clarify things .

Default RTR punch back! throught the rev.

Today, cleaned the air filter alongwith airbox and reinstalled the cartridges without applying oil on it. Retuned the carb, and voila! issue is solved. Now, the RTR revs freely with an eye shut(May be Both).

Thanks for the pdf kauria. I have a doubt though. Saw something like "Usage of IFTEX for petrol(2ml/ltr)" Customer Installation section, what is it ??
PS: I skipped all those technical pages, hence this is the only doubt I have

It’s a fuel additive, they claim that it will help to deposit lesser carbon in the engine, and provide a clean combustion, which adds to better FE.
I really doubt this claims.

Not sure about all those claims but I sure know that IFTEX works. It works better than premium petrol at lower cost.

avoid applying oil to the air filter always....
in fact i never apply it, cuz it may be blocking the dust particles but it also cuts the flow of the air, i also wash my airfilter with soap solution and i after drying it in sun completely, re-fit it.

Buddy when I was using Iftex I got nearly 54-55 Kmpl and without it I am at 46-47 kmpl on my RTR. I think it works.

Any betterment in mileage would be limited to around 2 to 5% max and that I have never noticed. What I got with IFTEX is less knocking and slightly cleaner pull.

Default handle bar issues

off late i noticed that my FI's handle bar is getting little tight when pulled to the left side, i thought may be the wire was getting along in the path so i re-routed it, but still it was the same, this os also not cuz of the rusting cuz it never happened after the full monsoon, and i dont want to disturb the already good set handle bar (as it was before).

anyone experiencing the same?

one thing more that it's been almost a year and the handle bar didn't showed the sign that's it's loose (it's strange to me cuz, it never happened in my FIERO or KB100)
