I'd suggest u personally stand with them and get the tappets adjusted. Inlet is .08mm and exhaust is .10mm
The other part is not at all an issue. I've seen that on my RTR during the initial days too. After jetting and a few tweeks, it disappreared.
Also my tank now has a breather pipe, so no vapour lock either.

        • I am having an RTR fi now...has run 180kms... at slow speeds the vehicle feels very jerky...its like there is cut in the petrol flow and suddenly the power is back again...what could be the problem? the petrol used is either shell super or xtrapremium....

I have heard good reviews about TVS svc center in Gurgaon, I think the job will be fine there.

                  • @sai ace - I am not a FI owner, but from what I have read, this seems a common issue with RTR FI that there is missing trottle response at lower RPMs (feels like petrol is not flowing). Some owners got it fixed by having TVS service people set the ECU to idle at 1400 rpm or so. Contact your service centre.
If you are located in Chennai, can u please post the below details
                    - when did u book and when u got delivery?
                    - which dealer?
                    - what color?
                    - what is OTR price?

Also, since you are one of the very few FI owners here, why not post a full ownership experience with pictures? will be really helpful for guys looking forward to own one.

i have heard abt the problem in FI's........but it seemed to occur only from 2500-3000 rpm.

some of the fi owners reported the same problem in the RTR community in orkut!

well...I am not exactly the owner ...my elder bro is...but since he is away in Hosur (works for Sundaram Clayton, c/o TVS ) I am in charge of the bike atleast till the running in period....

We first booked the bike at Prabha TVS (Ashok Nagar) but we were given waiting period from 20 days to 45 days...then we canceled our booking. btw the minimum booking amount for fi is 20k.. we then headed to Goodwill TVS(Anna Nagar) which I believe is much much better...

We finally booked an Orange Fi on Sep 3 (Vinayaka Chathurthy)and Got the bike on Sep 15...

The OTR price 75k with my bro getting a 2k(!) discount as an employee of TVS Group...

will keep checking at different times during the day and also try some different petrol....

and also I changed my first oil before the first service at 200 km...used an ordinary castrol...will be changing it in another 300kms...

hey satish...how was the motul 3000 you had used....any good?? I am also interested in the mobil 4t (mineral) sems new....any ones used it??

I will post my ownership experience and photos in some time guys.....probably after 750kms....patience till then..
