The point at which the gear shift lever is bolted had gone in after the fall and also the engine mounting bolt had broken. Both the things were taken care of now the bike is absolutely fine.

This abt fixing LED's as pilot lamps.

Here is the copy paste of what siddhartha had posted.

the leads costs Rs 500/- for 200 pieces

n it requires a solder ,a cello tape( to protect the lead points not to tuch with the reflector cauz reflector is a good conductor n can lead to burnoff )...n a simple feviquick(not elfy type but that brown colour one which smells like petrol)...n 2 piece of copper wire to connect with switch....quiet simple...but remember that each lead is of 3v so 4*3=12v(that means each side requires not more/less than 4 led ) n 3 led in series +1 in parallel ... connect 3 leds with a alluminium wire (by soldering) n 4th with the copper wire which in turns connect to switch...try to zoom the picture from my album n see how the led's are connected.....that's it !!!!

                impressive!

its regarding a TVS dealer. we recently visited a TVS Dealer to check the RTR fi for my friend and we had a very bad experience there. we want to bring it to the notice of the TVS. that's why i asked the e mail address. i have pasted the letter; i know some of u might say that it happens everywhere but someone has to raise voice against it hope u guys will help us out.

here's the letter that we have written to the TVS:

                        Sir,
With great regret iam writing this to inform you of the sorry state of affairs at TVS dealer in Trivandrum ( Anton Automobiles, karamana)
I have always been a 2 stroke fan and for me performance is the sole criteria while choosing a bike. Recently i decided to move on to a 4 stroke and RTR Fi seemed to be a good option to me. I shortlisted RTR because of its performance oriented characteristics, looks, handling and features. I went to Anton Automobiles to enquire about the Fi version. I was told that the bike will be available only on advance booking besides there was no test bike. The salesman there looked disinterested and did not even show the courtesy of atleast listening to my requirements. As i wanted to guage the performance of the bike before buying i asked them for a test ride of the RTR carb version so that atleast i can be sure that iam booking the right sort of bike for myself. Very reluctantly they gave me a bike and showed me a stretch of about 200 mtr besides the showroom for the test ride. I was perplexed. How can anyone judge a bike in 200 mtr. I still remember going for buying a Honda Unicorn for my friend. The Honda people gave us around 1.5km test ride through the heart of the city. Moreover last month when i went along with a friend to book his P220 the Bajaj people gave us a 1- 1.5km test ride. The TVS showroom is situated right besides a highway and still the Dealer here is not willing to offer even a 500 mtr test ride.
When i rode the bike it felt severly underpowered. When inquired i was told that the engine was detuned. On further enquiry i found that the showroom does not have a dedicated test bike and the bike that was given for the test ride was infact a newly registered one waiting to be delivered to a customer

                        • This is a pity but its not the fault of company, its the dealer himself. Company wil be faulty if there is no action on the dealer.

                          • The situation is as pathetic in hyderabad, Specially when it comes to after sales.

After having 2 pathetic services at my parent dealer Susheel Motors, i decided to visit Sri Sai TVS situated at Pathancheru which is a big TVS showroom with service facility.

                            OK. Here goes the experience:

                            1. I visited for fourth free service, a mechanic took the test ride, returned and told there is a problem with rear tire rotation (i forgot the tech term he used) and some problem in front forks. Bill will be 200 and 200 respectively. And if i don't take care now, bike may breakdown at higher speeds.

Scared, i asked to do rear wheel thing as i didn't want to spend so much money in a free service and new vehicle.

                            2. 2 months later, i visited again, a new mechanic took the test ride and yes you guessed it right, he returned and quoted same rear wheel and front forks problem. I told him two month back, i have rectified the rear wheel thing, he was like, "oh! then problem is only in front forks"

In Disgust, i left the place and swear never to visit again there.

The guilt lies also in TVS because ultimately its there responsibility to keep a cross tab on dealer by providing an active feedback mechanism to customer.

PS: They offered me test ride of a sold FI, which i turned down. There reaction was "Chalta hai sir".

These are the normal LEDs that are used in electronic experiments. You can easily get it any electronic hobbyist or enthusiast shop (the ones that store all electronic components for repairing TV, CD players, etc.). This mod really looks cool though. Another suggestion is to check out some imported LED torches (chinese made perhaps). The LEDs are stacked in the torch in a circular fashion with/without the reflectors. Using something like this as the pilot lamp replacements would make them bright enough for illuminating area just near the bike.

                                Some links :

If you dont get those white LEDs, another way is to get two of those cheap LED flashlights and do a bit of reverse engineering.
