the infamous low rpm pickup problem has cropped up again...
the bike slips the clutch horribly. even after the gear has been slotted in, it slips to a false neutral when i whack open the throttle.... esp 3rd.
tappet noise.
and the bike need a general tightening up.
tomorrow i am going for the second stipulated service. and also i am going to talk to TVS motors branch office before then going to the service center. will keep you guys posted.R.I.P kriss.Comment

guys today got new set of tyres on rtr-fi(zapper-c for rear and front R15 tyre) riding from morning...grip levels are amazing especially front its awesome,now i feel confident to do zigzag ,100+corners...i am loving it....
@sai:clutch slippage,false neutrals are very annoying cant these be solved at the production level itself is this so difficult...svc guys couldnt solve this problem even after repeated complaints....
regarding tappet noise svc guys told they would be changing valve springs to reduce the clatter but even that is not working..recently my friend got delivery of another rtr-fi even his bike has the same problem...
If the bike is having some problem atleast for the next batch company should do something and solve all this...but there are so many tvs fans out here who love all this...i now understand why bullet riders swear by Royal enfield even if they have truck load of complaints...Comment

tappet problems is common in all RTR......i used to be pissed off with it in the initial days....now i got so used to it, that am not able to make out if the noise is present or not
And wat u say was true too......no matter how many problems i face with my bike....i still swear by it!

bike giving problem it refuses to start when i use the electric start ..battery isnt low....why is it happening?

And false neutrals are too much when shifting from 1st to 2nd. The Neutral light does not glow, but the bike shifts to neutral. And at times, the neutral light glows and the bike is not in neutral. Happened at a signal today and the bike switched off after lurching forward. Planning to change the oil today.
Finally, I found the culprit to the petrol smell below the fuel tank. Traced it to the fuel pump. The place where a brass pipe is used below the fuel pump to send fuel to the engine is leaking. Its like dew drops around the connection joint. Will have to get it checked morrow.
