Thumbs up Fuel filter changed and "fuel supply pipe to the injector" replaced

today i got my fuel filter changed at 7200KMS...
the fuel filter costs 260bucks.

But the most major thing was done today was replacing and re-routing the pipe which comes out from the filter and goes to the injector, i reported this matter earlier too that the pipe was severely bent and was hampring the supply of fuel, and today when the petrol tank was opened and the pipe was checked, it was so bent that it developed a crack over a period of time.

so to get the replacement i went to the TVS showroom and to my surprise they were not having any spare pipe, so i went to the MARUTI showroom and got myself the pipe from the workshop (different looking pipe but with the same diameter of the hole)

the next thing was done was to replace the small pipe with a bigger one, it was cutted after planning the new routing then a loop was formed, after forming the loop the pipe was secured with the filter and the loops routing was done behind the filter.

after all the routing the bike was started and it was revving like dream, it came to 5000RPM in one bloody sec, we checked it again and again and the result was the same 1 sec, with half the throttle opening with "jhatka" effect.

as the pipe was bend we checked the flow by blowing air through it with the same bent position and it was found out that the bend was hampering the flow by almost 50%.

the new formed loop is almost 2 inches long, and the pipes length is 6 inches, (the original pipe was 2 and a half inch long) but it has smoothened out the vibes till 6000RPM (earlier they used to creep from 5200), the bike is coming to 5000RPM in a blink and is more smooth, free and going to 10000RPM more freely and in a less time compared to the previous situation.

so i urge all the FI owners here to go to the showroom and get you pipes routing changed.

PS:
all the work carried out on my bike ws done by my local mech friend and me, cuz i simply dont trust the TVS SC guys.

dint get what u actually did here and what did it amount too !!

How can a longer pipe increase performance ? . Or you meant to say it actually came back to its original character which was gone due to the leaky pipe ? .

And one more thing , what way has increasing the length of the tube helped ? . And why are you stressing on the loop part ? . Do dimensional changes affect anything ? . As far as i think there will no change in the amount of air going through except just that it will have to travel a longer distance or if any change which i think could only help in creating some problems ( may be i am thinking too much ) .. cant think of any advantages as such .

Sry to many questions asked , just curious to know

the pipe was bent from the begining, i noticed it 3 weeks after i purchased it, but i was not getting time to get it done, it was also on JULIAN PAUL's bike, so the longer pipe made the flow what it should be and made the fuel flow proper.

the pipe had this crack, but as it was very thick it was not leaking fuel.

as the pipe was bent the length of the pipe was increased, the small new pipe cannot be inserted there because there is no space there to insert it in tight gap that causes it to bend, that's why a longer pipe was used and loop is formed to eliminate the bend in the long pipe too...
the loop was formed just behind the fuel filter and the routing was done from the rear of the filter to the front of it.

the longer pipe wont be creating any affect as the injection sucks, so the extra length never matters.
