Ideally a semi-synth oil runs about 1K kms lesser than fully synth one, but the cost diff is close to double. So from a VFM perspective sem-synth's are pretty darn good.

Motul 5100T and Valvoline premium 4T being the two semi-synths that I've used till date, and found both to be pretty good. The Motul one was a shade better though. Better as in it lasted longer and ran smoother.
hey prful tell me if we r using motul oil thna wht abut the warrnety issuie...i ask in mumbai borivali probiking tht manger say if you motul oil iuse thn ur warrnety will be void..so tell me yaar wht i do yaar?

I got mine changed at the 20K service, even though they were good for another 3-5K kms atleast, but I just hated to power loss.

Signs for clutch play wear out:

1. Bike accelerates slower than normal i.e. takes its own sweet time to reach a high speed.
2. Looses more speed than normal on a uphill.
3.Feels even more sluggish with two people.

These basically indicate that the engine is not able to take the load. And the last and best way IMO to figure out atleast for the 220's

4. In 5th gear exactly at 6K rpm the bike does 83. This indicated speed will drop with increase in clutch plates wear out. Like mine was doing 80 @ 6K rpm

Hope this helps!

Got my clutch cables replaced today as a precautionary measure. Odo is no just over 22K.
hey budy thnksxz yaar this is imp tips for r bikesz p220

Ok phele toh, your warranty does not go void with a fully synth oil. But since the ProB guys are so sucky and don't wanna listen to you, keep putting whatever they are putting. Mineral oil isn't really that bad for your bike, unless you are in to extreme highspeed long distance touring or racing the bike. Mineral oil also works OK enuf, but change it within 1.5K kms.

Another thing you can try is to ask them if they are OK with Semi-Synth oils? If they are you can put either Motul or Valvoline.

I have tried the Wurth chain spray and the OKS chain spray, finally I've settled to using the SAE 90 gear oil, which works out better from VFM perspective for me.

But incase you are specifically looking out for a spray, get the OKS 451 O-Ring spec spray.

Ask one of the Mumbai members like Chilled_Fire, they would have a fair idea where you could get a spray.

Btw, I'm pretty sure you will get it on Lamington Rd. if you search well enough!
