Any guys got their 30K service done? Any specific things I should get done?
I'd be doing the usual 10K service replacement stuff like fork oil, air filter, fuel filter, rear shocker nox, etc.
Also intend on doing a de-carbonisation and valve lapping job on it!
What else? Any inputs/ideas?_________________________

[] yup, i surely will ask for the mono type bus stand. my 220's up for 4th service. i hate the service here in mysore.. and is there any problems arising due to the istallation of k&n r 1100 filter and NGK iridium spark plugs and which model of NGK plugs have to be used...????

The investment in a KnN and the returns from it make it not worth the headache. I wudnt advise you to give it a try.
For NGK's , you need CR9EIX and CR8EIX!_________________________

yea, i have heard that there will be lots of misfiring due to the k&n filter but somehow i have grown to become a fan of the k&n filter though its become local now that you can find it in any kinda bike.. but still which model would be the best in k&n..? i have heard that anirudh had a k&n in his silver 220 and the bike was tuned perfectly and there wasnt any misfiring in his bike.. so im positive about that with my bike and will the istallation of k&n be done at venkat sir's AS..?? and also the spark plug 7eix & the 9eix combination could be used right..? coz 7eix is a hot type and 9eix is cold type..??sigpic smokinnnn...!! :DComment

Yes, Anirudh's bike was running perfectly with the KnN. But even he got irritated of the sound and finally chucked it! Still warning you against it as I don't know who would be able to tune it. His was not tuned at AS, but in Chennai by a sbk mech.Originally posted by nike_90 View Post

but do they install k&n in venkat sir's AS..? btw i have marked the venkat's AS on my gps. hence, was busy for so long.. :P i'll be going to b'lore tomorrow morning. the things i want to know at the moment are:
1) where i could get the NGK spark plugs in b'lore.
2) which is the best suited k&n filter model for 220.
3) how much the spark plugs and the filter will cost.
4) will the filter and the spark plugs be installed at venkat sir's AS..?sigpic smokinnnn...!! :DComment

3. Spark plugs will set you back by about 550/- each, the KnN Filter be approx 2K/- +/-200/- depending on where you buy it from.
4. I don't AS will install a KnN as they themselves strongly recommend against it, but then it would be if you confirm from them directly. Sparkplugs they will install._________________________
