  • ^^^ for rear disc brake noise i use petrol,
    What i do is :
    - Clean disc with clean soft cloth
    - pour some petrol on the disc and on the pads through the opening on top.
    - Most of the petrol will dry out , clean it again with cloth and spin the wheel a few times holding the cloth on the disc.

This will eliminated the noise , works for me always

PS : donot ride the bike immediately after cleaning give it atleast an hour, else u wont even feel the brake

Also this is my personal opinion using it since past 15K , not sure if there are any harmful side effects but till date no issues. (done 22K)

Also the starter issue was resolved last week some loose conection .
Aprilia RS 125 or Honda CB400 Vtec ..... which one will it be ??? I think its gonna be NINJA ZX 6R :-)

you can clean brake pads simply by rubbing it surface(which makes contact with disc) by sand paper, for this yo 've to open/detach the caliper unit and yes rub the surface of the dics as well from both sides

i guess petrol could be a lil hazardous, coz when brought in contact, it can damage and make the disc pads hard (the compound used in manufacturing pads, cant with stand such adversities)

an another substitute goes like this
        . splash water on disc
. rub a sope on the surface of disc
what it 'll do is that, due to itz sticky nature dust n small particle of sand will
stick n come on to disc
. than clean the disc with cloth
. execute the exercise if pad got more dirt
. it wont damage pads n more practical

I had the same problem of disk noise and after a service from probiking... the only thing that helped me was to screw up the happiness of the service manager.... try that dude ... its been 8 months since and i have no problem.. i works...

So now new rubber is IRC 130/70. Immediate feeling..... Man better braking feel. I have to test the lean factor in the weekends in some good place as I got the rubber changed in the evening only.
            2 snaps
            Congrats for the new Shoes!!!

I'm also looking for the same or the MRF from the FZ16.

            My Bike is 13.5k old.
But did the treacherous Leh trip.
Its not yet bald but requires a replacment in the next 2-3k kms atleast.

So Give a full review for us.

            • The Truck Like braking sound comes one or twice in a week for me . It seems like some imbalance in th.e rear end during the chain adjustment or so

Since you're primarily into touring, why do you want to make the bike shorter geared by putting the 140/60 tyre?

                    :

There are certain reasons for that!!

                    1) I'm Short - So a lower height is good for me.
                    2) The Centre of Gravity goes down with the shorter Tire - Better Stability,
                    3) The wider tire gives me better grip,
                    4) The Accelaration increases which I love in my City Drives!!
                    5) The Marginal drop in Top speed is not a prob for me as I have Bullets/Pulsars/ZMAs/R15s as my fellow tourers which is not a prob as I'll not be staying behind them - as we don't race - we Tour & enjoy the Ride.

Do let us know how the 220 feels with the newer tire. There was a 220 owner who had done this change as well and he seemed please with the better grip the tire offered.
