The PBKs here in Bangalore don't do such 'nakhra'. They have put Motul 300V without any hesistancy. Just that there have been lots of reports that using this oil will result in oil leaking from the head and the engine. Personally, I have used this oil for 10K kms. There was no case of leakage etc. Engine ran cooler during continuous high speed runs. I am back to using Castrol given by the PBk themselves. Oh they do their 'nakhras'. They have always refused to put the engine oil I want. Only the AS guys oblige. I've not changed the oil given by PBK yet because I dont wanna waste the 300 odd bucks I've spent on it. I'll change after the 10k mark since the service interval increases after it. Dude. I changed Motul in Khivraj Kasturba Road. They also told me that the oil I was changing was good. They topped it up with their normal grade oil. So it was 1 liter Motul + 200 ml Castrol for 10K kms for me. Show them your angry face next time!Originally posted by Samyaza View PostOh they do their 'nakhras'. Try to go through the sales manager who sold you the bike. I mean inform him that you are there, then he can speak to the service guys. They don't object to sales managers saying anyways. Otherwise you can always go to AS. Did you try to change in Khivraj Indiranagar? Yeah I tried to change the oil in Indiranagar PBK. If they can't change the oil i didn't wanna waste my energy with anything else. My sales manager is a useless fellow. Thanks bro... i had this one done in GP Road, chennai. The 220 Breaths enough so U Don't require a K&N.
It has a Closed loop system.
U won't Run Leaner as the K&N can't provide any additional air intake than required as the Stock 1 itself provides a lot of Air more than the requirement.
But the bad part is it allows more dust when compared to stock 1.
Th K&N is made for Clean race tracks - not for our Roads - which R no good than Dirt Tracks.
U'll need to cut the Air filter chamber & that would Void UR Warranty.
So simply NOT RECOMMENDED - Unless U want to have a little increase in the Sound.sigpic

All i meant was the K&N ll allow more air to the engine.. And i am NOT talking about similar, almost kinda approximations here!
ANd finally i never said that he ll get the effect of the K&N if he installs it!
If the 220 had an O2 sensor, it would have made the A/F mixture richer and compensated(Similar to an upjetting done on a carb), and since it does not i said it ll run lean.
Understand?When everything comes ur way, u r in the wrong way ;)
