        • For the last few day when i drive the byk i felt a weight on the handle bars . Also when i apply the front brakes there is a wobbling feel or feels like bike stops on edge of the tire or as if we drive through the road edge feel .

Today i rotated the front wheel while keeping the byk on center stand & found the Pads rubbing on the disks .What might be the problem guys . Is it due to alignment of wheel.

I think the pads touch the disc slightly in all disc brakes. That's the way its meant to be

I am goin out of india nxt month , and looks like its long time as i have got an opportunity in Singapore
Now , i dont want to sell my 220 as i will be visiting mumbai atleast 3-4 times a year.

I will be giving my 150 to my cousin bro, but 220, i wanna pack it up and store safe

Now, i have an option to ask my cousin to just ride the 220 for atleast 3-4 kms every weekend so that the bike is maintained.

Or I can wrap/pack it up and keep it in garage, but in 220 i cant remove all petrol - if i have to start her again i will have to take to PBK

So can u guys suggest me some ideas ?
              Hey chilled Congrats man!!!

Regarding your bike....In RTR's manual I have seen the set of procedures needed to be followed in case of not using the bike for a long period.....Am not sure if such a thing is there in our manuals....Just check it out......

If you change over to the 220's 37T rear, the bike will be a bit more relaxed. There would be a minor drop in acceleration and a minor increase in top end.

xBhpian Silver Falcon (Silver P200) is running the 37T rear sprocket of the 220 on his bike for quite some time now. You could some finer details from him!
thanks praful...have contacted silver falcon..no reply yet...

Some more details would be appreciated.

While changing the sprockets....3 things gonna change..front sprocket...rear and the chain....is the whole cost around rs.1000??

I guess the front sprocket is same for both p200/p220...
and one tooth difference between 200 and 220..apart from the acceleration..will there be any change in mileage figures as well??
                its all about CC...

The cost for P220's sproket set is 1400rs and P200's sproket set is 1100rs.

There should not be any major changes in the mileage figures shifting to P220's sproket set.
The difference is that you will do more speeds at lesser RPM.... compared to P200's sproket set, however its just a minor change, but it will surely help in the cruising abilities of the bike.

Hmmm. I have been quoted 1100 in the bill of my 1st paid service for the chain sprocket kit. Wonder if they have put the 200 sprockets. Will check, 200 has 38T at the rear correct?

                      • My bike is off for second service today and hopefully the guys there will correct the 6k rpm problem.....It has done just 1540 kms.....

One question.....When is the ideal time for the mobil-oil change....? It was last changed at 540 kms at the first service....

                        • ^^
how did u manage to give ur bike for service at 1.5k kms??
                          isnt the second service done b/w 2000 - 2500??
                          .
yesterday i rip my bike to attain top speed of 135kmph.
could only touch 131.. after that, there is a sound coming from the engine (not sure) between 3 to 4k rpm.. sounds like there are marbles in the cylinder.
i don't think its related to tappets. because the sound started coming only after i tried the top speed.
please shed some light. my bike has done 1660kms on odo..
                          TIA

The bike was giving me serious problems plus bajaj will let you get your bike serviced at your will, the time period in between the services has been totally laid off....

                            An Update on the service:

                            1. The bike's disc pads wore off completely (yeah at just 1500 kms)
                            2. Fuel Filter was replaced (I wonder if the previous problem creeps up)
                            3. No Engine Oil Change.....(Is it okey????)
