Hope it does or at least provide it as an after market accessory.

The engine can at the most give us a 10-12%% increase in performance with MODS & Remapped ECU.

Which is quite good considering the Stock engine has good power & torque for its size.

Chilled, Congrats to you too for your phoren trip

        Hi Guys,
Did a small 630 kms trip. Delhi - Haridwar - Rishikesh - Dehradun - Delhi. Wasn't planned exactly. Just an unexpected holiday on Sat so planned this trip on Friday night & left.

Now, P220 with IRC tyres are just a FANTASTIC combo, just FABOLOUS. Handling has improved by leaps & bounds. I was not into leaning much but man!!!!! I did some leaning in those hilly roads man. Fantastic. This 220 rox!!!

In highway too, it didn't break a sweat maintaining speeds of 110 120 with my friend's SX4. Am not saying that SX4 could not overtake, it could have easily but speeds of 100+ was like nothing for this beast!!!

Another incident which has RRREEEEAAAALLLYYY impressed me.
There was a steep uphill road. About 30 - 40 degree gradient. The path was just a kuccha road. 220 carried us both, all the way to the top!!!! My frend is arnd 6 weighs around 100kgs I am around 80+!!! But man o man!!!

        LOVE YOU 220

Sharing few snaps taken with my 2 MP Motorola
Thats a Good review about the IRCs.
However can U throw some light on the wet handling characteristics??
I heard tht the IRCs can't take wet roads at all.

i got the rear wheel aligned and now its showing 82@ 6k. which i believe would amount for a max loss of 5kmph at best at the top(that's my guess ,i may be wrong).i never take my bike to more than 120 kmph coz of safety reasons and my bike still does that with the tyre change. iam not concerned with the top speed and never checked it so its not wise for me to comment on that . logically the top speed should come down.

i never look at the speedo when iam riding so its not a bother for me. why i want to change it to R15 is because the stance of the bike has changed. to restore that stance i need a drop in height of about 6-7mm at the front. so i have 2 options , either go for the FZ front tyres which offers a drop of 1mm over the stock ones along with a medium setting for the rear shockers which will add a few mm of height to the rear or go for the R15 front tyre which allows a drop of 9mm at the front.
i being on the shorter side would prefer the 2nd option and not to speak of the tremendous grip and flickability that the R15 tyre offers.

yeah the speedo will show less speed but what it was showing was huge so when i checked, the wheel was not rotating freely. moreover i had difficulty in pushing the bike that's when i sensed that something is wrong with the rear tyre.

now there is a definite drop in the speed/rpm but its very small and if u are not looking at the speedo u may very likely miss it altogether.
          HI Burn,

Can U post a review of UR Tire behavior& its Pros & Cons.

            • Hi Prabhakar,
How would IRC perform in wet condition, I am not sure about that as in wet I try to be very reasonable. But I do ride in wets not that i park my bike & wait for the rain to die out
But rest assured, I think it wont do worse than the stock ZAPPER.

Till bajaj comes up with remapped ECU, exhaust system, what other option is left for increasing the power by atleast 5-10%? Any idea guyz??

              • @ Durvesh

They need to put the oil & Sparks as per UR Request.
Tell them that its the same grade as per the manufacturers Specs ( Owners Manual).
Talk with the Service head if it does not work out call up the regional head of the PBK.
Or shoot an Email to them.
                They'll do it.

                @ RX

I Need the performance in Wet as I'm divided bet'n the IRC & the FZ16 Rubber.

This must be a new thing because I have changed my engine oil and spark plugs at the same place. Either that or Bajaj authorities have told the SS guys not to do anything "out of the book".

                    • None of the PBKs in Bangalore have Chain-Sproket set for P220 in stock and I need one urgently... its making wierd sounds now. Finally Auto Service guys said that they have 1 in stock and if I do not buy tomorrow morning, they will be using it on other bike. So have to go early morning to get it and then on Saturday morning servicing (and chain-sproket set change).
I dont know why all the PBKs (in Mumbai/Pune/Bangalore) are out of stock (for chain-sproket sets of P220) all of a sudden... is it more in demand or some production delays.

                                +1

Totally agree,I was searching for Piston rings for my P200 for two days..in western suburbs(Mumbai).Chkd with every sai service station around and nearby auto parts dealer, and called up the PBK's as well. But harsh luck.

Finally i ended up paying double price to local auto parts dealer...who bought it for me from Old Mumbai.

                                Cheers
