now i want to change its rear stock tyre to fz 16's
could u plz tell the pros and cons of it..
and should i go for it...

Better stick to the manufacturer's recommended tyre profiles.. one can always try to experiment.. there will be some gains but there would also be loss somewhere else to compensate.

• your top end will come down it comes down even when a irc 130/70 tyre is put on, it will be even more when the fz's tyre a 140/60 is put in. i suggest you go for mrf vyde as its got good grip.

i strictly follow it.... and while following i noticed that gear changes take place exactly at 4k rpm(while keeping up with the chart)....

my first service is over a month back... My bike has 900kms on its odo.....the max ive touched is 113 and that too for 5 secs.... i touched that speed and then slowed down rapidly ...coz i felt hurt for exploiting it...(Even for just 5 secs) But the thing is after i slowed down my bike touched speeds of 80 to 90 kms with utmost ease...

well after that experience, till today i maintain a healthy speed of 55 to 60 in top gear...
.... i now need one help.... kindly tell me how to slowly open up my bikes true potential..

Pls suggest me the exact yet effective riding pattern that i need to follow from 900kms ~ 2500kms..... U may give out ur riding pattern and tips u followed till 2500kms...
With my previous vehicle owning experiances i can say dont cruize at a single speed during this time. Just keep varying the load conditions take it to the top speed once in a while and stay there for longer durations say 5-10 mins. This is effectively a method to loosen your piston and other parts. Once the parts are loose and set in they tend to become more efficient and powerful.

• ^^ Well the guy is right, brand loyalty in Bajaj is lesser compared to Yamaha.

He's also right that for a majority of the customers its more about the style statement than performance.

World is moving much faster now a days. In the earlier days some one would own an Enfiled for generations say about 60 years, even cars would be owned for atleast 20 years. Today the world moves much faster, no one owns a car more than 7 years(unless they want to be bumboozed by spares prices), Studies have suggested that Cars are best owned for 5 years and bikes for 2 years.

I think Till date a Yamaha bike owner did not get a proper upgrade for his bike before five years. But Bajaj upgrades its bike every year luring the owners to upgrade, this might be the reason behind it. It will be interesting to see what will happen if Yamaha updates its bikes every year like they are doing with the FZ.

He will say it of course because he works for Yamaha. Fazer doesn't have performance to match its looks. Otherwise, it is comparable to the 220.

When he said performance doesnt matter, he meant the larger biking population and he was in no way considering performance enthusiasts who are probabaly a mere 10% of bike buying population.

And I don't compare bikes which are so different in nature.

• Oly if fazer came in a 180-200 cc , and produced power of abt 17 ps also. I would have taken it blindly.

it true he works for yamaha and will say in favor of yamaha.
but ask him if he had to buy new bike and ask him to choose between p220 or fazer.
if he choose fazer then his worst nightmare would be on road with 220

he should not give these silly reasons for selling the bike.
guess yamaha's image in wrong hands
