In May edition Autocar magazine they have given the test report of new Pulsar 180. I really dont understand why they are doing such cruelty to existing owners of pulsar Range. The new 180 got almost all features of 200 and some of 220.
New 180 got bikini Fairing of 200, Beefy front forks, Split seat, grab bar like 220, exposed O ring sealed drive chain, clip-on handle bars like 220, Tank protecting pad, raised letter decals like 200 and 220 and bigger tyres like 200.
So new 180 will look exactly like 200. its too much yaar. guys who picked 200 recently will feel as if they are slaped on their face.
Bajaj should really consider the sentiments of existing owners when they go for this kind of modification borrowing parts from other models.

If rumours are to be believed, the Pulsar range ends with the final 220 edition.
And a new range of bikes will be introduced by Bajaj.
That is why these Bajaj people are going out full on with their remaining options. The so called upgrades to win customers. It is because of FZ that Bajaj is already blackening out engines and blah blah....

If the sales of Bajaj Pulsar 180,200,220 continue to fall,we will see the new Bajaj[KTM] bikes sooner! :

Does that mean they are clearing all the stuff they have with them....i.e. clearing the stock....Originally posted by nitrosatya View PostIf rumours are to be believed, the Pulsar range ends with the final 220 edition.

Sentiments? What sentiments? Everyone is after profit, my friend. There is no place for emotional attachment (or 'personal care') with the customer!Originally posted by rish View PostBajaj should really consider the sentiments of existing owners when they go for this kind of modification borrowing parts from other models.
Anyhow, I feel the P-200 now has been left really 'unattended' to. I mean, now even the P-200 would need a decent upgrade. If, however, the P-200 goes the P-220 way (the bikini fairing, rear disc brakes, clip-on bars, etc.), then what about the P-220?
It is all a vicious cycle!

Well then I suppose existing/future owners would be thrilled if the upgrades are limited to Jazzy Paint/Stickers jobs with fancy names (and leave the Chassis and engine untouched for atleast 5-10 years..!!) Yeah that should keep everyone happy.
By the way, this is an ownership thread and the last few posts qualifies as OT.

i bought 220 for its performance, looks and features. and i want people to recognise its a 220 not a modified 150 pulsar like many locals think.Originally posted by payeng View PostWell then I suppose existing/future owners would be thrilled if the upgrades are limited to Jazzy Paint/Stickers jobs with fancy names (and leave the Chassis and engine untouched for atleast 5-10 years..!!) Seeing what bajaj has done to 180 i expect a 200 soon looking just ike 220. If that happens then i ll be totally pissed off.
I dont mind they upgrading 200 but just give it a different look so it wont be mistaken for a 220.

Yes it hurts when companies are doing this to establish their business . But it is a fact that even they are doing changes that most of us don't notice too . Anyway i also has a P180 classic alongside my P220 & even though the P180 UG IV has released i don't feel any regrets for using my 180 still . For me the most i mean is the Engine & performance & looks comes least .
Here Bajaj is trying to stabilize their business & think positively about the fact that even when they were ruling indian roads with Classic Pulsar they developed the DTSI technolgy ,brought Digital meters ,Alloy wheels , FI technology ,oil cooling etc . But now the stage has gone & competition has started so they are looking out for other solutions
Anyway i feels that the 2009 P180 ,200 & 220 will be different in Looks .

And yes the 220 surely needs a different look.... like thisA New Tide, A New Life!, "NOW" is Everything you got.

IMO it shouldn't be too much of a bother if they start looking the same, as long as the 'twist of the wrist' show's whats really under your backside!

GOT new rubber for my darling
Hi all,
Its just been 14000kms & my rear tyre got bald. Dont ask me how. Everyone was surpised. Even the dealer from where I got my new tyres was shocked
So now new rubber is IRC 130/70. Immediate feeling..... Man better braking feel. I have to test the lean factor in the weekends in some good place as I got the rubber changed in the evening only.

@RX: The tyres look good, how much did it cost you?

70 side profile means it is low profile than the stock one, aint it?
btw is IRC a acronym for brand n' what's the price?
The profile is shorter only by a bit (5mm to be precise), there will be a marginal change in performance characteristics!
