The Hid i am using is a 6k and 8k combo .. 6 k is for the projector for the best multicolor cutoff and the 8 k is for the flashy blueish light ..
i don't have to use the high beam a lot because the lowbeam is more than enough .. i install them my self .. i recently moded a 636 with angel eyes and 6 k dual parabolas will post the pics as well .. the wiring what i am using on 220 is a basic setup of one 6 pin relay with some diode work and is a direct fit on the stock wiring .as i shift to highbeam the total wattage changes from 35 to 70 W for that reason installed a small capacitor which takes of the sudden spike of ampers , so the injectors and fuel pump even the meter wont restart .. the setup is totally foolproof ..
will post pics when i reach home .. can do it from office ..

RaviKiran has used the sirac the most and should give you a fair idea bout it. It costs about 2.6K! Only prob is finding a compatible front tyre and getting used to the slight drop in acceleration!

Compatible front tyre ? y so, wont mrf stock ones do ?
Loss in acceleration wld b there as these are heavier than stock mrf , google info
i am loosing hopes on mrf zappers as they tend to slip when roads wet.

Warranty ?? bhai AFAIK ur bikes done more than 30K na to warranty kaheki ?

            • Ask Ravi, he'll tell you about the inability of the front tyre to deal with the increased grip levels in the rear!

True! 4.3K is hard to find, but the best for our roads!

                  And likewise about the PBK's!

K bagh PBK is pathetic. Okhla is far more better.

All the best for ur quest for 4.3K's. Almost impossible to find in India. I even enquired at PHILIPS and BOSCH but to no avail. I can give u one idea. Go to Got HID Xenon? We have 4300K 6000K 8000K 10000K 12000K 15000K 30000K Kits and replacement bulbs. and order it to some friend in US with a US address and ask them to get it here.

Yup! If ever I do go for an HID....will only go for 4300K!

But then im a paranoid android , might never go for one out of fear!

                        @Dragatmax: Are you using a 35W or a 55W HID?

                          price
: costs me 2600. i know someone quoted the price of the tyre at 1950.i got the tyre from the mrf dealer and he was the only one who stock those tyres so i had no option. he showed me the price list where the price was quoted as 2600 for the rear and 1400 for the front.

                          looks
: the tyre looks wide and really good on the 220. only disadvantage being the height of the bike has come down by about 5-6 mm.

performance: the tyre is almost the same weight as the stock one . i feel that the new tyres provide better grip, and cornering ability.braking has also improved immensely. the tyre is sticky but i didnt feel any sluggishness during acceleration. though i feel the top speed might come down. as the tyre is new i didnt push it hard, ll have to wait for the first 200 km to pass and then ll see how it behaves. for the record 220 with stock tyres does 83kmph at 6k rpm. after changing the tyre my bike was doing 80kmph at 6k. performance wise i would rate it higher than the stock one.

If the preformance and handling isn't affected, then even I might opt for the FZ16 rear tyre swap for my P220.

I can live with a slight drop in top speed.. the seat height of the P220 is a bit tall for me.. a slight decrease in seat height woud be most welcome.

Please do post pics of your bike after the Rear Tyre Swap.

The decrease in height was obvious. But if you check the stance of the bike, it will be low at the back end.The front will be of the same height. While taking pictures of your bike with the new tire, take one from a completely sideways angle. Then compare with this:-

Acceleration will have increased technically with the new tire, as it has less diameter and lighter compound.
