In the morning I have to crank up with holding the accel slightly. But after 1 minute of idling it becomes normal. Doesn't happen after that ever. You need to get your tuning & Co done properly I guess.

Blame it on the increased steel prices then!

I also bought it at a time when the bike was just a few months old in the market and hence had a lesser cost.

The steel prices affect the price of the bike quite a bit, when I bought the bike the entire exhaust used to cost 3.5K, now it costs close to 7K ...nearly double!

@RX100.7050: For FI vehicles you don't need to and I suppose u shud not also give accelerator while cranking the engine!

You should get the CO setting checked. I guess therein lies the problem.

Just for 5-6 seconds. Not more than that . Absolutely. It stalls if i dont. This is due to cold & not anything else i guess.

After my second service I faced a problem. My bike was not idling properly. It used to turn off in signals and riding was a hassle. Everything from CO setting, to screw, filters were checked. None showed a solution. Finally, the problem was a faulty ECU. It had gone kaput. It was not controlling fuel flow properly at idle. A change of ECU rectified this immediately.

It shud start without accelerator no matter how cold it is! I cannot comment about how cold it gets in NCR, but I have not faced this issue even in hill stations!

@pranay: New ECU, fantastic man!!! Felt any change in the feel of the bike between the old and new ECU?

Yes, ideally it should. Even my 'non-FI' P-200 starts at the first crank WITHOUT any throttle during early morning cold starts!
                          :)

OT: Maybe its a pseudo FI

Wants to mimic its older brother!

It definitely has a better kick low down and I feel the revs rise much smoother, but this is compared to my last ECU which was malfunctioning. I don't think its much different from any other 220s on the road
