My bike has gone in for a delayed 8th service...

Put it on the roller bench to get a before and after topspeed check...currently its doing 126 on that, just before I delivery I managed that speed on the road too. Now eagerly waiting for the service to complete, with a few new parts I'm sure after 20K kms I will finally see my bike hit the 135+ mark! []

But this thread has lost a lot of information....its up to the old timers+regulars of this thread to keep this as informative as possible!

what will you guys do who have their bike's(200 and 220cc) brought in small dealership's in outer town's? means no probiking service etc?
I have a doubt since many 220cc pulsar's flews through my town.but no probiking service at all.for nearest service ,we have to go 43kms for cochin.

Does the service guys in small shops able to service(new bike's free service) properly?

Ajinkya, recently I have also noticed my bike turning off when in a turning or when I brake suddenly (not always.... but 4/10 times)...... and a bit of misfire..... does this mean my ECU is kaput ?? What all other issues you faced before they concluded it as a ECU replacement symptom/condition??

Chetan, if you could just check whether the sensor cable(just below the speedo console) is loose or not....coz this same problem i had also faced...then on identifying it was found that this wire was loose...!! So, it may solve the problem at your bike as well..!!

though the question wasnt for me, I suggest you go to the service station and check if the bike idles properly while checking for the CO. Actually, its while doing this, I realised it might be a problem with the ECU. Because the bike would idle in normal conditions sometimes, and sputter sometimes. While in traffic, after pressing the clutch it would sputter out. It was acting very unusual. This was the same time in conjunction with me changing the spark plugs. First, I surely thought the plugs. But even with the old plugs, I was getting random sparking problems. Again went back to the station, changed the ECU, and everything was back to normal. And the CO too was set to 2.2.
