Hide and safe

Let a couple of other larger vehicles get across the crossing before you when the light goes green. Use them as moving shields across the intersection. They can take a hit and survive....you won't.

Does it really make any difference old dawg? Let me know your experience. I've been using the KBX stock one, and rode the one with BYBRE too. I see a slight peformance in rear brake stopping, (very little) or I have no idea it was my feeling cos it was *BYBRE*.

    Let us know your thoughts!

As far as I know, installing an ABS in a 220 is not recommended as the very ABS system alters the complete mechanism of the braking system. Plus I've never known anyone installing an ABS in their P220. The max I know is one guy has did it in his R15.

    Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
    The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

    THE END

    Default Leh Leh Leh!! :)

Guys, I need a small help here. I am going to Leh this 20th. Anybody who has done a Leh trip here, need advice on the tuning process of the carb on the 220.

Kindly take me through your experiences briefly regarding the carb tuning set up, if possible a video link would be so helpful.

What I heard. Inserting a wire inside the carb to compensate for the lower pressure.

Use smaller jet. Now where can I get the smaller jet, and what's the process for inserting the wire.

And some guys have told me, just remove the air filter and put it back again? Has anyone tried this?

    Waiting your replies the earliest

    Cheers!

No need to do all this. The 220 dtsi manages fine... there will be a slight amount of power loss but its not all that bad! Keep revs above 4K!

All I can say is.. See you there

I had a chat with a double digit Leh veteran yesterday. He recommends the wire in carb mod for P220(which any tom dick harry mech will do on the roadside), nothing else is required.

P.S.: PM me your exact/tentative plan. Would love it if I can sync up.
Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

Sure thing, Antz. Will PM you the details to your mail ID. Hope we can bump in together there. Always good to have some senior frogs with us.

Good evening (or morning) fellow xBhp members.

Even though I'm sure it has been addressed before in this thread I find it a bit difficult to navigate through the whole 696 pages searching for it so here it is:

I'm thinking of switching to fully synthetic oil for my machine and was wondering if the Motul 300V is twice as good as the Motul 7100 as it is twice as expensive (at least in my city)

No need to quote the performance of the 300V on superbike racing and le mans, I only want to know if it feels twice as good as the 7100 in our machines (P220)

And if you have used the Castrol Power RS Racing 4T (I think in India it is called Castrol Power 1 Racing), would you rather have the Motul?

    Thanks in advance.

Bienvenido, gosh I had to search for that word

Now Motul 7100 is a fully synthetic oil and 300v too. For the most part, 300v is twice as costly as a 5100 or 7100, so it's costly everywhere

To the performance part, 7100 has a shorter drain interval than 300v and more over, 300v has it's fair share of records, racing, etc etc, you name it. 300v is a superb oil specifically desinged for high-revving superbikes, that doesn't mean it shouldn't be used for our engines, you can use them -- at your own risk

Many senior frogs here have used the oil and found to good and not good. Good because there is pretty much no difference from 7100 and 300v, but then the 300v, at least from what I've known, it tends to leak from the engine for some bikes, same was the case with 5100 though not as much as 300v as mentioned by senior member.

I'd say, you go for 5100SS or 7100FS as it's the best bang for the buck and you can't go wrong with MOTUL.

Never tried Castrol Power 1 Racing and I never will. By the way, I call Castrol, Crapstrol

Maybe who've used it will give you an idea!
