1)does this mean that there is any defect in break system of my bike or any fault in my breaking etiquette.

Theres no need to panic.....at that point of time you most probably locked up the rear wheel which tended to skid a little..........its a good technique but only under speeds of 30 something..........at 60+ speeds....your bike might just skid making you fall.....so make sure you tend to shift weight more to front simultaneously applying front brakes and rear ones too....(rear ones must be used to slow down whereas the front ones for stopping) and downshifting fast......next time you panic break!!!!

yesterday had a high speed skid.....along a curve with 106kmph on odo.....i should say i survived with only minimal injuries(damn why did i forgot to wear my gloves!).....will post pics of my riding gears soon!!!!!and urge everyone to wear them for their own safety!!!!

Does this locking problem happen with all bikes or is it something more frequent with the gs? Coz I've noticed a lot of people experienced that here, including myself.

^^^ Yes it happens in every vehicle if you apply the brakes hard enough. This is especially true on surfaces with little traction like gravel and wet roads where it happens for lesser braking pressures.

If it comes to wheel lockup, Not only GS, not only all bikes and their is no exceptions for scooters, and four wheelers

The only exception here is a vehicle equiped with Anti locking breaking system(ABS) will comeover this issue

Example apache 180 ABS and honda CB250R with ABS

Check in you tube you can find many videos where even cars skid due to wheel locking.

And you know the bike that always throws away the driver if wheel gets locked

That's the reason dazzler's back wheel disk breaks are equiped with lesser bitting (breaking) force.

You are right-try using only the rear brake at a speed of 40 or above on an R15-you will be surprised to see the wheel lock up.
After that, try using the front brake&the rear only to support the front (right way of braking)&feel the difference!
Which is why suggested braking is 70% front and 30% rear.

They say FZ16 has best looks in the industry........I say, not all beautiful women has to be a model or a film star. :P
I am head over heels for the way GS150R makes its presence felt.

This bike feels evergreen and ever new to me..............
It goes without saying that these are the pictures of my highway errands on a typical Sunday

I've become late to change my oil. Last and first oil change was when ODO was 1.4k and today its at 4.2k and I'm changing the oil to Motul Mineral but not sure as to which should I buy in this cool monsoon weather 20W40 or 20W50? And yesterday I opened the Air Filter and it was so clean but in the manual it is recommended to change it now.. Should I also change it along with Engine Oil and Filter ?
