Its fine. You can read my #1109. Yes, engine sound is more than say unicorn. But under 5k rpm there are NO vibes at all. Just try to ride more and more in rough spot and u'll notice its getting smooth the more u ride. Thats what happened with me. How much on ur odometer dude ?

Yes. I did read your Review before. Nice one and the Pics were also Cool. Which location was it? Even i found the engine Noise to be a bit more than i expected. Right now, the Odo's around 850 Kms. Am unable to ride my Bike during Weekdays this Month due to my Office Shift timings. So, it's only during Weekends. I miss riding my GSR during Weekdays .
Am planning to go for Long Drives during Weekends once the Monsoon kicks in.

Yo man same here !!! The point is how many times u get chance to ride beyond 6k rpm in pune ? Even if u do, somebody comes in between. Im not speed freak though. But I enjoy cruising at high speeds. So lets see what happens after 1600 km. We'll be able to use full throttle.

Thanx for the complement. Its back side of Khadakwasala.

EDIT: has any1 put the Philips 35w (Germany) bulb ? IS it more powerful than already has Halonix ?

Thumbs up My First Bike

Hello Everyone. I'm new to xbhp. I just joined here to thank all of you for helping me to find a good bike. I would like to thank all of you especially Sam9s, animeher, shadowfax, HydBiker, insaneBiker, riazmomin, hyderabadi_nawab, alkemyst, Sarvajit, ssivakumar.r, mathewSyriac, etc etc... I think your review and comments really do some wonder in my thoughts. Finally i got a good bike today.

You did really help me a lot to understand all the bike features, pros and cons, and all the maintenance options, so that i can take care of my bike really well.

Let me introduce myself to all the members. I am Karthic from Coimbatore. I haven't ride to many geared vehicles. I am having a non geared kinetic honda for the past 10 years. I rode my friends TVS Victor, Hero Honda Splendor and Royal Enfield for few minutes. I had 2 problems in riding geared vehicles. That is 1. Leaving Sudden Clutch 2. Instead of applying brakes, i'll apply clutch. I know it is because of using non geared vehicles. I know i can able to solve my problem by practicing it. I know practice makes everything possible. So i planned to buy a bike in 150cc segment.

I had 3 bikes in my mind. 1. Honda Unicorn 2. Suzuki GS150R 3. Yamaha FZ16. First i enquired everything about the 3 bikes and read a lot of online reviews about the 3 bikes. One day i planned for test drive for all the 3 vehicles. First i went to honda showroom for honda unicorn test drive. I really liked the bike's smoothness. But i was disappointed to know that it takes too long to get delivered. Then i went to suzuki showroom for GS150R test drive. After the test ride of GS150R, i droped the plan of going to yamaha showroom for FZ16 test drive. I decided suzuki gs150r is the right bike for me. My parrents are worried about this bikes resale value. But i know that i'm going to buy a good bike and i don't have any idea of selling it. So i booked black coloured suzuki gs150r and it is delivered today (19.06.2009).

After a couple of days i'll post my experience of this bike. And i'll also try to upload few snaps of my bike. And once again thank you everyone for helping me to choose this bike.

And sorry for the big post - Karthic
