when it comes to reserve it depends on how the tank was designed. in most bikes the last 0.5-1lt of the tank is not useable. if thats the case with gs150 then water wouldnt enter the carb. and hence no damage would occur. guess you can neglect it for now. during next service tell them about it and they'll drain all the petrol and put only the petrol on top of the jar without the water, i guess ![]() one thing i've learned is, never open the fuel tank lid if ur bike has got wet due to rain or washing. water stays in that gap b/w lid for atleast few hours after rain has stopped. keeping bike on side stand helps to drain out the water faster. theres a drain hole in the side of that intermediate place b/w lid and tank. |

Hi friends....
I finally got my Grey GS on Saturday from Ibays Hyderabad. Here are my first experience about my new GS. Once they delivered the bike they scratched the tatoo and I got 4001 RS. So I got the my GS at 64,381. Sales person told that the one person got free bike at another showroom.........I was pretty happy for what ever I got... I just tookt the bike out of the showroom. I was feeling the weight of the vehicle.........but when I rode it, it all have disappeared.... First I took the bike to the temple nearby. There was a shocking surprise for me there..I got out of my Bike and tried to lock it......My god.....it was not locking. It was like it got stucked. I felt bit tensed and was feeling ok as the showroom was only few hundred metres from temple. After finishing the poojas, i took it back to showroom.......There the mechanics told that the handle has to be shaked a little while lock....the process was something like this... 1. Press lock 2. Slightly move the handle my simultaneously turning the lock to the left...... They assured me that it is the same for all GS. But it will be great if some of you can confirm this point? Then I took my bike for a drive. It was really great to drive. Gear changing was too good without much noise....I was really feeling the power of engine. With winimum throttle position I was able to reach 50KMPH. Horn of this bike is a big ++++. Thats too good............... I went to shell pump for fuelling and filled 14 litres. Earlier the sales person told that there is 1 litre already in the bike. So now the tank must be having 15 litres......Indicator was showing full.... Brakes and suspension were also good....did not fell any jerk in small pits...... Vibration at 3.5 k seems like to be the identity for genuine GS. I was also feeling it. I was expecting this as I came to know from others owners in xbhp......so no surprise in that area... I was driving at 5th gear inside the city and when I came out of the city I shifted to 6th gear.......Man it was great....no sound or noise from engine........The bike climbed to 60kmph before reaching 4500 rpm. The indicator was blinking since I had set it earlier to ECO mode....So I was driving in between 4000 and 4500 rpm. My friends were also very much impressed by the bikes smoothness and looks.......There were asking why suzuki is not giving proper promotions for their product. I personally felt that it was far better than unicorns and pulsars. I purchased a full cover for my bike which costed 248 Rs..... I think suzuki has built it great...... Today I have completed 100 kms. I will post you more details and driving experience down the time........ |

HI, Congratulations for getting your Ride!!! Suzuki is the way to go dude... The locking problem you have mentioned is perfectly normal. It's a standard procedure on every GS to shake the handle a little bit before the lock falls in to place. Here in Ernakulam the service center doesn't provide body cover for the GS . So I went to nearby Honda service center and got the body cover of stunner for Rs 275/- and it was a perfect fit.Iam also dissapointed about Suzuki not giving promotionals for this awesome bike. Anyway hats off to Suzuki for bringing this incredible bike into Indian market....waiting 2 hear more from you.....Enjoy your Machine!!!

Mathew Sir that is the problem with suzuki in chennai at least Mr. Kalyan was in Swapna suzuki, anna nagar some four months back.. from there to ABT and now to SMK... each time Mr. Kalyan moves, we need to move ![]() Having a big brand name and not having responsible persons as said by you is not nice... when i reported my problem first to Mr. vinod, He asked me to get in touch with Mr. Kalyan at ABT. he was new to ABT then. When i reported some problems to Mr. Vinod, last week, he asked me to come to SMK to meet Mr. Kalyan Nice that my problems are being heard .. but travelling and depending upon One guy for all rectification is an issue... In case , if kalyan moves out of SMK or go any other Non suzu dealer ... where r we??? ![]() Suzu should do something about this!!! Already people are complaining about non availability of ASC's and spare parts even in big cities... This will add oil to the fire |

Nowadays I'm seeing lot of GS here in Bangalore. There are 2 in my office (1 blue and 1 black), My neighbor has one (black) + everyday I could see at least 2 on the road (mostly orange).
I guess the sales is picking up.. ![]() Recently I saw one orange GS in outer ring road. It was brand new. Number plate read "for reg". But that guy was riding at very high speeds. (i was at 70kmh on my Victor, that guy zoomed past me like a rocket...) Looks like nowadays people won't care much about the running in and all..
