But all you guys here tell me one thing.....whats the top speed of Pulsar/Apachie RTR Fi and FZ 16 I am really curious to know (Actual tested speed), coz 111 believe it or not is Fuc*kn blazing speed for a bike, I was at this speed for like 3,4 seconds and I felt like I am on Rajdhani , who drives a bike at that speed man???? I wont..... The road side pillers were passing as if I was on Street Hawk....lol...... but the bike was running without dropping a sweat......I cant imagin what 120 would be, and I feel it would reach that speed.........but again I am seriously curious to know if any of RTR/Pulsar or FZ actually reaches that speed and what is the engine condition.......

dude what r u talking abt????
mine and many other uni owners touched 120 on their stock uni's
my steed did a 49 k and with some minor mod's(head, syn's,ngk platinums, etc) i'm able to go to 122 with a thin person in my back seat and touched 124 (drag position)
my uni does not give any respect to the triple digits..goes to 110 like it's child play...
and after that can feel the engine starting to put some effort...
but brakes r a very big concern at that speeds(120+)...
bro, just imagine a busa's or any sbk owners pride when he can go past 120 in his 2nd gear while we'll be beating the shit out of our engines...

Sounds great... congrats buddy

RTR 160 can reach 130kmph on the speedo... and the FI can probably hit 135kmph on the speedo. Don't know how much the error will be though.

Anyone knows how to check if there's any error in the speedo reported speed?

Well maybe as this is the first time I actually drove a bike at that speed I sound elated. Its not at how ease the bike was on 111, in that scenario as I said GS was not dropping a single sweat, was going with absolute ease......and I am sure its gonna touch 120 may be more....but who drives these 150sss at that speed man....it crazy....yea I know busa goes like 300km/h but people driving at that speed are heavily guarded plus the deacceletation of bikes like busa is in seconds from 300, to 10......

Any way I'd try to put the bike on its top speed and will report......

can/will/prpbably reach is different...any body actually tested/drove RTR/FZ at 120/130 is what I need to know, the honest/true feed back is what I need to hear of how these bikes are at that speed if they even reach there.

My friend has logged 130kmph as the hi-speed in his RTR Refresh. So thats the only thing I can tell for sure.

Sam, be careful. Don't just push your bike for top speed check. Give it some more time and ride sane & safe.

FYI, most 150cc bikes can reach 110 KMPH either easily or with some effort. Some even cross them But the point is, like you said, there's no need to push them so far and as DoGg said, brakes are a serious problem.

Take care.

Apart from the mileage (I got around 35 kmpl when doing 105 kmph on my GS) when you push your 150cc bike that hard, safety is a major concern. On completely empty stretches with near perfect road it seems okay. Riding at 7000+ rpm for long durations on our GSs, Pulsars, Unicorns is, I think, very bad for the engine life.

Could someone enlighten me on the optimum speed one should maintain on highways with a reasonable tradeoff between speed and mileage.

There is thread on ideal speed of 150cc bike. Just search around. I think it should be around 85-90 kmph or at the most 100 kmph. Some times above that is ok in case you want to test the limits of your bike.

My friend claims he achieved 125kmph speedo on his FZ16. But I doubt GS150R will go that high due to its heavy curb mass. Though Im not sure, somebody pls enlighten this.

i touched 126 on my FI without the drag sitting....
my frnd has done 135 on speedo with drag effects on stretch...

it'll hit 140 on slight slope easily......
