Mate, how can laugh at this? It would make me go crazy whenever my dog jumps over me and scratches the car door. As much as I love my dog, this is one thing I can't digest.

Fortunately, I don't have to deal with cats. I have to deal with an even greater enemy, DUST.

But there was one problem... If you check this thread quite a long time back, we discussed about the fabric used in the cover which may not be good if it starts to react with the plastics of the bike during rainy season... I also saw that during rains, the cover which I got was not enough water proof.. So I no longer use my cover.. ... Make sure you get a good quality cover even if it costs more... Check it one or twice on rains or put water manually and confirm its water proofness... I want to know if leather covers are available some where in chennai ..
Yes buddy, I remember that, thats why I am planning to buy it from the dealer, or a water proof one in the market. I will surely let you know regarding it.

Hi all,

I've clocked around 300 kms so far on my GS, and i'm currently getting only around 30 kmpl.. is this normal?

The bike's pretty smooth even at high (read 60 kmph.. i try to keep the rpm around 4-4.5k) speeds, and gear shifting is getting smoother..
The headlight needs to be adjusted though.. high beam bulb's pointing up somewhere at the moon rt now.. !

Maybe it's because the only other bike i've ridden is the bullet 350, but almost everytime i try to describe the gs, i find myself using the words 'Smooth' and 'Silent' a lot..
I've read some comments abt the rear brakes being to weak, but i haven't had any problems so far.. Maybe the new brake springs in the 2010 model are doin their job well..

Right now, apart from the mileage, everything seems to be on track with most user reviews.. Should i get it looked at just yet? or should i just wait till the first service, which is comin up around 1st week of march?

Congrats on your new bike buddy. Yes the bike is really smooth and stable even with a pillion.

Don't worry too much about the mileage right now.
GS is a good bike and will return 50+ mileage once the engine is set.

Guys can you let me know about the optimum tyre pressure for GS for single ride and with pillion.

I enquired in one HP petrol bunk, they told its 25 and 35.
But I have seen many people filling 30 in the front and 40 at the rear.

I filled 25 and 35, was comfortable with the ride, but is it sufficient when riding with a pillion?

I told them it will be similar to Unicorn in size. They have one for Unicorn and one for pulsar, which one do you think will be suited for our GS ?
Where are you from?
I have added cushion and put a new seat cover for ma bike GS150 in pune

GS seat is already tall and plush. Any reason to add cushion to it?

I ride with a pillion all the time, my friend says that the seating position is comfortable but the seat is stiff and gives a kind of horseback feel. I'm 5 7" and cant afford to put a seat cover which will increase the saddle height.Any suggestion??

Before buying GS, I used to drive Kinetic Honda it had the same problem . For handle locking, we need to move the handlebar to the extreme left end. Try to turn key to lock position if its not moving move handlebar slightly to right and at one point the key will move to lock smoothly . The same when unlocking, move the handle a little to right simultaneously when the key feels like stuck .

Has anyone consulted S.C for the same .
