Default Taking my GSR 150 Orange tomorrow

After reading the reviews and test ride, I booked candy orange color GSR 150, and taking delvery tomorrow,Show room sales man tell me to put a cool remote lock(pricol make) for cost of Rs 1250,I told him to fit remote security lock,Still want to know hook cum handle can be fitted or not...??????
My driving style is conservative,I am getting good mileage whatever vechicle i had before.....My baleno(maruti) gives me 13 to 14kmpl in city and 19kmpl in highway without A.C. My previous pulsar 150dtsi gives me upto 68kmpl (overall)... I expect MY GSr will deliver 55+ mileage(which i wil review later)....

the above problem is there in all gs

dont u feel the bike heavy?
rough spot..!! hmmmm.. bt the prob is, in the normal city traffic conditions we land up riding at 25-45 kmph most of the times.. so this rough spot occurs very frequently and adds into the irritation.
i dint find the bik heavy at all.. r u havin troubles wit its weight?
at U turns the turn radius seems more, but in comparison to Uni it feels lighter to me.. statistically its heavy but ridin wise i don find any probs..

Default Great Mileage

When someone on this thread reported an unusually high mileage of 73 kmpl, I was extremely surprised. While going to my college from home, I got reserve @ 1789 kms and felt that tyre pressure is very less and bike isn't moving freely. After some 15 kms I went to a Shell Bunk where I usually go and filled Rs. 50/- (1.10 ltrs) worth of normal unleaded petrol. Also, found that air pressure was too low (21 psi + 28 psi). Filled to some 27 psi + 35 psi (hot tyre pressure! not cold) there itself. I again got reserve @ 1867 kms. And the mileage, to my astonishment, was (1867-1789)/1.10 = 70.90 kmpl !! Great, that too on busy Hyderabad city roads with speeds less than 65 kmph.

Default Completed 250km in GS

Hi guys.... I have successfully completed my 250km in ODO.... I have not tried to push the bike hard... Running in 'ECO' mode... So keeping rpm below 4k before 1st service.... I pushed her to 65kmph... Gonna push it harder after the 1st service.... Ok here are my pros and cons that i felt in GS:

1) I feel that there is some problem in gear shift from 2 to 3..... There is absolutely no trouble in all other gears....
2)About breaks.... I felt the rear brakes were useless in the beginning... But not now... I was cruising at 60kmph in IT highway(chennai)... Then suddenly a bicycle enters into the road suddenly... i applied both the brakes suddenly... A light wobble... But i was still sitting in my bike... stopping just before the bicycle....Thanks to the brakes... I am damn sure that i would have eaten dirt if i were in P150
3)Yet to check my mileage... will post it soon about it
4) Zip zapping is easier with this bike in traffic... i didnt feel it heavy at all...
5)Engine is silky smooth... i love the sound of this bike
6)Gear indicator is my best companion in traffic

@gs_owners - r u guys facin similar kinda thing??
I think I replied to falgun on this......I woudl say the same here...the vibs at 3.5rpm are there but are very feeble, after the first service, you only notice if you are conscious enough to note else under normal driving conditons you dont notice much as anyhow its at much low rpm, and you zip pass that mark in a second.....and its not even proper vibrations.....they are more like resonance, I was worried initially, but after 1st service I havent felt them strong enough to call it an issue.....

Nawab ji... apka mileage bhi nawabi style mein hai. Pls do the same test for more times and confirm. To be frank, the reserve to reserve count for just one liter cannot be near to accurate.

Yes, I was thinking the same. The right way to test fuel efficiency is to use full to empty method.
