I was thinking about replacing the pilot lamps with led and connect them to the rear no. plate light and make the rear no. plate light led too. Since the rear no. plate light is DC, there won’t be a problem. Moreover it will give us extra 10watts for the headlight and a pilot lamp that wont flicker when the rpm is low. This way the headlight will be brighter and the pilot lamps will look cool
too without much hassle. So any experts in the field please guide. Is it feasible??

Called the SC guys today and asked about the replacement for my bike's rusted tank. They asked my name and went through some records in their system and told me that, a complaint has already been registered for your bike, and the replacement will be available on monday.
![]() So, I think its not a hush hush stuff, Suzuki wants every complaints to be registered. For any potential users who are apprehensive about buying this bike due to this rust issue, don't worry go ahead and book your bike. If there is rust it will be replaced.

The last week I tested my mileage for 200 Rs of petrol (~4 Litres). It went for 206 kms.
So I am getting 51 KMPL , first service is due for next week. And I have put 4 litres of petrol again, and it has ran till 186 KMs, still haven't come to reserve yet. So the mileage will pretty well be around 50. I have touched 70 KMPH, unknowingly a few times , I was cruising at 55 KMPH and then even though my mind said NO, me heart told to open the throttle a bit more, it was 60 and it was butter smooth, felt like sailing, then a few seconds later the Speedometer read 71 KMPH. . Cruising at 50 or 70 feels all the same... wonderful.

Nobody liked the idea? ![]() I have these ultrabright LED flashlights. One of these flashlights is brighter that both Pilot bulbs put together at idle RPM. I was thinking I'll find those bulbs and use two of them for pilot lamps, and two of the normal puny LED to illuminate the rear no. plate. These flashlights work on 2XAA size batteries, ie 3V. We have 12V on our bikes. I only have zero knowledge when it comes to circuits . So I really need someone with kmowledge in electronics to help me with a simple circuit diagram. Is there any other option. I mean do we get 12V very bright LED in the market for automibles? Does anyone know?

![]() If u want to use 3v led then connect 4 of them in series. the voltage will split equally 12/4=3v, 2 for pilot lamp and 2 for rear no plate. Or u'll have to use some resistor in series with each led to divide the voltage, but this might be a waste of power.. By the way, i've asked in the service centre, they said changing circuitry of bike will void the warranty for all electricals in the bike..

Hi!!!!! The best method is to Connect a 1K Ohms Resistor in series with the LED... Its Safe as the execs voltage will drop across the LED. In order to avoid flickering, a capacitor (say 1000mf) can be connected in parallel with the LEDs... This will filter off the ac components. And of-course use a diode to make it dc... |

Hi Blitz, It would be awesome to have LED's for pilot lamps. I would love to have blue LED's as pilot lamps on my ride. But the thing is I don't have much knowledge in auto electrical's and I dont trust local mechanics. Btw will the LED fit in to standard factory fitted holder of the current pilot lamps ? anyway if you are successful please guide me as well. I want to know the procedures of fitting blue LED's as pilot lamps. thkstc
