The modes are nothing but the buttons for gear shift light. Mode DOES NOT change anything in the bike, except the behaviour of bulb. So getting rid of light = selecting the third mode.

Earlier was in a hurry

Let's talk about this one in detail now.

Suspensions:

Firstly, the rear suspension is EXCELLENT or even more than that. I've used Pulsar, Unicorn, and Apache (for a very short distance though) but I can tell you can just pass over potholes and feel as little of a jerk as is possible. My friend who goes to college with me tells me almost daily that he's not feeling any of those jerks that he used to feel earlier (I used a Caliber Croma before this.)

Front suspension is also commendable.

Console:

I loved this part very much. It's really neat and organized. Plus two trip meters. Most useful thing I found was the digital indication of the gear the bike was being driven in. The POWER and ECONOMY mode is a nifty addition. Plus, you've got an indication as to when to shift up. VERY USEFUL indeed.

Handling and Riding Comfort:

It's easy to handle this bike in heavy traffic even with a pillon rider. Earlier it felt heavy though (obviously turning to this from a Croma would mean heavy. To add to it, i got the fuel tank full on the first day itself. Rated fuel capacity is 15.5 but I got a total of 19 litres - 1 from the dealer and rest from the petrol pump which meant extra weight all the more).
This bike is very comfortable. The seat shape allows the back to be in a perfectly straight position which means EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE to ride.

Very stable in the 50-70 KMPH range. Didn't take it above that speed. Waiting till the first service. After that I'll see the full power of this bike but until then, I'll drive it gently.

One thing that I felt Suzuki ought to have added is a little bit of space to keep at least SOMETHING under the seat.

One thing that I've felt it (correct me if I'm wrong) that the engine is getting very heated. Also, when I turn off the engine and put the bike on it's stand, I can hear some click click voices coming from the silencer of the bike??
Is it OK???

The click-click sound is nothing you should worry about. It's just the sound that the metal parts produce when they contract while cooling off!!

No that is not metal, but fiberglass I guess, but it does not give you a cheap quality feel, trust me no part of this bike gives a cheap material feel...

And Im waiting for the next post to have some real ownership experience from you.

EDIT: how come there is no official xBhp First Impression thread of this bike ?
thanks varoom, and yes I guess you are right about the time to take snaps....as I said I am no professional infact not even a noob in photography. I know all the technicalities of the camera but lighting, angles and lenses are out of my interest scope, but I guess I will try few snaps in the evening and post them as well.......

Blue color. Just loved it. It's much more refined than the competitors - Uni, Pulsar etc etc. 6 gears will add to the mileage I hope. Still gotta check how much it's giving. Digital console is the newest and best as seen on Indian bikes. Gotta love it...
congratts Ankur........ did you find any similarity between the points I brought with the new bike you purchased....

I also felt the bike really good package when I had a test ride but I opted out of it because of weight which I could feel at the time of U-turn.
The other thing which pissed my off at that time, was the dealer's attitude as if he is doing me a favor by selling this bike to me.
well yes bike is heavy and that is the reason you do not develop enough confidence immediately while zipping through the traffic........but once you get used to it there is no problem as the bike is very well balanced.
And about the dealer attitude, believe me I can understand how that feels, I had the similar experience on HH showroom. Just because HH sells...... and loosing one customer might not be that big an issue for the company does not mean you behave like you are doing some favor, I was really pissed by that HH dealer and I made sure before going I make him realize he is not doing any favor by selling me the product.

wow no body told me that, not even the technician there, but strange to know the mode is ???, they could have given it a name "like free mode" or something if that mode exists, I will try that and report.

is that so?????so the light comes even in the power mode....I was told that the light does not come at all in the power mode?? The demo bike I drove also had the power mode and the light was not coming. Anyway I will try that as well but have to wait for my first service (which would be soon as I am almost covering 60-65 Km daily going to and fro to office...with that I should reach 700 in around 11 days and thats when the first service is......)

=================================================

Now coming to few more points I noticed while coming to the office today.....but before that......nobody answered me on my this query....I hope people are reading as I am taking efforts to give as much as I can for the next potential buyers......any way what I asked was

One thing I would like to bring in notice......and I would like to have people on xBhp take on this..........on excatly 3500rpm I can feel GSR giving slight noticable vibration which I think was not in the demo bike.....now this has put me in to some fear.....I really hope that its just because of the engine not yet very attuned and after the first service it should be ok , what do experts have to say about this.....
.... Any Idea

Coming to few more points...

Clutch n Ignition :: Tell me people, is it with all the bikes with self start that the clutch has to be pressed before making the ignition through self.......even if it is common, this bike has gone a step further.........for kick start as well you have to press the clutch and then kick (even if the bike is on neutral).......any other bike has this similarity....

Backlit of the Display :: The back light of the display console is always on, is that common, why would the company not give an option to switch the backlit off during day time (logically this would save battery)
Or is there a way to switch it off and I do not know.

any suggestions on the above points...... one more thing.....the gas tank is of huge almost 16 liters capacity and hence the reserve is also huge 3.5 liters.......even with filling the tank with 200 bucks of gas the indicator has only one DOT..... I understand its no big deal but leaves you unsatisfied and gives you an impression that you are running out of gas (you are always on reserve ) where as in real you have enough to commute safely...... its not a disadvantage but just thought to bring this up as well.

More Questions/Queries....??

Regards
Sam

That's the catalytic converter. Don't worry, it is its property.

Are you sure I think it also controls the Air/fuel flow, much like TPFC in original CBZ

@Sam9s

Every engine has a sweet spot and a rough spot and may be the the 3.5K RPM is the rough spot for the GS150's engine. Also, this should reduce to an extent as your engine is run in.

It is a good practice that many manufacturers follow - self doesn't work when the bike is in gear and the clutch disengaged. You need to press the clutch to start the bike if it is in gear.

Same is true for kick start even.

But then, requiring to press the clutch to start the engine even when the gear is in Neutral... this is new to me. is it the same case for self also?

Thanks Hydbiker for clearing this up........ mmm so that rough spot must be in the demo bike as well......I just could not recognize as the bike was better tuned.........am I getting it right?? if that is the case I think the problem would solve after couple of services......

I can understand self not working without pressing clutch, but for kick start as well and that too in neutral........??? which means you have to press the clutch no matter which mode you choose to get a start............ and yes its for both self and kick...
