Guys need some Help I am hearing a lot of click click sound from the engine when it is idling or when accelerating earlier i though it was some plastic but i can clearly hear it now. Though the engine has done like 170Kms so i am not thinking about it but still the sound is some time irritating and i can hear it with a lid on as well. Is this Normal?
@anup i checked the Carb on new GS yes it states Padmini lol . Also had a real scare I Rode through some Water and the Bike was sliding i don't know how but Survived a fall for sure. I didn't expect the Tyres to be so problematic even though they are new. This was when there was some stagnant water, what happens when there is rain? Is the engine sound changing or are you feeling sudden vibrations in handle bar and foot pegs?. When I noted a sudden change in sound after crossing 6K rpm, I asked this to S.C they said that when you accelerate there will be a point when the right amount of fuel is not supplied and hence the sound and vibration. Does this vibration happens only at 80 Kmph or it remains after crossing that mark. One of our fellow member Mathew Syriac confronted a similar problem after having a crash. Try private messaging to him, I think most of us are not sure what to say .........

Thanks Anup yeah in Cold Engine No issues when the Engine gets hotter the sound begins with already Delhi Touching 40+ Degrees it starts earlier i suppose currently driving around 4k RPM and wavering my speed as much as possible and trying to stay away from Constant speed and i felt the Gear shifts were very smooth in Cold Engine. But After every Km the Gear shift is becoming better and more smoother have done like 200kms till now will put in some more and try to get the first service ASAP.
The Ride comfort was excellent today drove on a stretch for 70kms No back pain and really the bike was fun to ride at 6th gear in the Expressway |

What about the inconvenience of handle bar being tall? I think you got well acquainted with your ride.

This was when there was some stagnant water, what happens when there is rain?[/QUOTE] Stagnant water has a layer of slime coated which gets worse with each passing day. All vehicles, even humans on foot are sure to slip or slide when passing through these. One should really be careful when driving across such conditions. I have seen motorcycles crashing and being washed away down to a pool (not very deep) on a mountain road on a causeway where there was a constant flow of slow running water. The bike and the riders were completely drenched and required being pulled out … the bike had to be taken to servicing. Rain water should not cause such problems if it has not been stagnant enough to collect slime. |
