Flipkart, an online marketplace has now started listing Bajaj, KTM and Kawasaki motorcycles for online purchase. The e-commerce major has signed a Bangalore based dealer named Khivraj Motors for Bajaj, KTM and Kawasaki motorcycles, to sell on its platform within the city.
Earlier Snapdeal had tied-up with hero Motocorp, Piaggio and Suzuki to sell motorcycles on its platform.
Anil Goteti, vice-president, business, at Flipkart said,
“There is a paradigm shift in the way people shop online today, with more and more unconventional categories like automobiles and auto accessories, small home appliances, personal care and jewellery gaining popularity.”
The prospective buyers for Bajaj, KTM and Kawasaki motorcycles can book their bikes online at a minimum booking amount of Rs. 3,000. Once the online booking procedure is complete, customers will be contacted by Khivraj Motors for the requisite documentation and balance payment.
Customers will be eligible for vehicle-specific promotional offers, by the company, as mentioned on the respective model pages on Flipkart. In addition to these, Flipkart is offering a gift voucher worth up to Rs. 10,000 on every successful transactions (post vehicle delivery). Information relating to the delivery date, colours & variants (available or out of stock) are posted on the website as well.
