So, I installed the bearings like you said, and it feels fine. But the older arrangement didnt feel odd either. Maybe they work both ways
      Cleaning and lubing did help.
While I was at it, turned the stem upside down to lower the handlebar. Now the bike looks a bit "butch"
if it works both ways, great !!! hah hah ha ! but its not supposed to work the other way, look for uneven wear inside the cups.

many people do reverse the stem, to lower the handle bar height. many people stick to the zero rise stems available as opposed to the heavily angled ones. as these offer better control. try upgrading your stem---a zero rise plus short reach, does wonders to your bikes handling !
put some excitement between your legs, ride a mountain bike !!!

      • Just love cycling!
What's the range(cost) of firefox MTBs?
Are they really good, or should I go for trek?

        What about touring bikes?

        • Raghav i recommend trek..

Firefox MTBs are around 8 to 10k.

          What is your budget BTW?

Hey if you have already considered investing in a Cannondale F9 then why Viper/Attitude. You can try looking for the models from other brands in the same price value. Do consider the entry level series of Merida, Trek, Cannondale, Schwinn, Btwin Rockrider, Kona, Orbea. Do go through the below websites.

Its definitely worth the money. If you are planning on buying a Viper and upgrading the components, its going to cost you a lot more than the cannondale. Do take a look at the Merida bikes. There are year end sales going for the 2009 series bikes with 10% discount. You can get the Merida 20MD for Rs 20700/- (MRP Rs 23,000/-). Its a lovely bike. I own it and its really worth the money. Heres a link if you want to take a look at the component details

hi robin! i appreciate that you like my bike. thanx. i personally dont know anybody in delhi, let alone someone who rides mountain bikes! lol
does your suncross come with a threaded or threadless headset?
if its a threaded headset any local bike shop can fix it up for you. its very simple, you just remove the headset binder bolt on top of the stem, then unscrew the headsets, get the suspension fork, put on the crown race if it doesnt have one. apply grease on it, as well as the headset cups, put the steel balls in it, insert the suspension fork into the headtube, tighten the headset , but dont tighten it too much. else you'll have problem steering the bike, tighten it enough to remove the play between the headsets. insert your stem, tighten the headset binder bolt on top of the stem. dont forget to fix your brakes on the new fork !!!!

if its a threadless headset, every thing is the same other than 'unscrewing' the headset. you just unscrew the clamping bolts on the stem. rest everything is same.

                                hope i've helped you out!
if not just let me know.

                                regards
